AT&T Wireless and Cingular to merge

I thought attws was buying cingular. i did not know it was reversed. also can someone comment on cingular and its service. i could of sworn i heard bad things about it. i live in long island, ny but go to school in buffalo. it would be great if someone could help answer these questions.

no way in the world that attws would buy cingular, thats crazy. Cingular is the #2 provider and ATTws i beleive is #4. They were also talking to t-mobile about buying them too, im glad they decided to go with att.

i dont know why but i feel very attacthed to att. i have been with them for 4 years and i guess im in denial. is cingular better than tmobile and verizon?

I live in LI also. I've used Attws, T-Mobile, and Cingular. They all have their problems. I am going with Attws. Why? The support. Attws web page gives much better support than the others. Forums, phone configurations, online manuals, I've configured a lot of phones and they are the most help. Otherwise, Cingular has great phone support that I keep calling 2-3 times a day trying to get my new V400 to work. Just watch their rates, they seem to have the highest additional charges. And T-Mobile is a breeze at telling me I have no cell towers for my V300 within 3 miles of my house and not to expect one in 6 months.

My advise, buy the cheapest and see if it works for you. You could call their techsupport lines to find if you have coverage at y...
