If I get a V600 and a bluetooth adapter for my laptop, would I be able to use my V600 to dial my laptop into the web? Essentially this would mean I could have internet anywhere I could get a cellphone signal right? And if this is so, then wouldn't that also mean that using the internet like this would only use my unlimited minutes on my cell plan?

Yes, you could access the internet anywhere you get a GPRS signal (I have found that it's better than my cell phone coverage) - it is a seperate thing though.

ATT charges by the meg (4, 7, 12 meg plans or something like that - last time I checked they didn't offer 'unlimited' data transfer). It can add up unless you surf smart, that is, don't download images unless you really want them...

I've done it before, also used my bluetooth-enabled Sony Ericsson phone to connect with my Palm Tungsten T3, check e-mail and surf the web.

Other providers, I don't know which, charge by the minutes.

you must have some data plan for your phone. I dont beleive that you can just dialup to an isp and let it use your minutes like talking on the phone. But you are correct that you would be able to use it as a wireless modem if your laptop supported bluetooth.
