Motorola RAZR V3c

OK I knew from reading Howard forum that my outer screen was going to go from the same picture as your background to just orange, and I was ok with that especially after reading that it looks way better in person... But GOD is it ugly, I mean it wouldn't be bad if they didn't still have the top line red and the bottom line like a brown red... so now it's RED/ORANGE/BROWN RED... YUCK They should have made it like white in the middle or something and the time in orange... what do u guys think that have had it done... but I do have to say the menu's are really quick now.. big improvement

Guys, I just came back from upgrading my raza to 4 and I bought an extra battery and the moto. battery charger, but they kid threw out the box's... I see that you can snap out where the battery goes, but what is the space under the battery? Is it just for a bigger battery? Like I said he threw out the box w/the instructions so I don't know what it is... any help would be great...

I've seen some threads saying that a lot of problems could be solved by upgrading the software for the Razr V3C and the latest is 04 version... how I can check my version? and how I can upgrade it? what should I do in order to do so???

OK I understand that IF you are on your NE2, you can get the phone for 99 or less, but......
I think I might want to sell my 3 month old in PERFECT condition V3C with all accessories and box.
Any ideas on a fair price to charge?

I want to get the new smaller Blackberry and figured it would pay for part of it.

These are the facts!

I went to Verizon and had my phone flashed with the version 4.0 software. I then installed MPT and it took some effort to get the program to recognize my phone. Once it did (I chose V3c in the configuration setup), I still do not have the "multimedia" capability.

I thought 4.0 would allow us to transfer files so long as we also have the latest version of MPT. Has anyone had trouble like me? Any help would be appreciated.

I got my RAZR 9 days ago. Last Friday bluetooth shuts down and I had to reboot to get it back. Happened a few times over the weekend. So....on Monday I go to VZW store and they give me a new RAZR and replace my HS500 ear piece and acknowledge that they have heard of this happening. Today it happens again. Anyone else experience this and have a fix?

I noticed that occasionally, my phone will have those 2 arrows displayed, one pointing to the left and one pointing to the right when I am on a voice only call.
My bill shows "data usage" when I reconcile it.

I do not have a data plan and never use any data features?

One day I spoke to my wife for over an hour and my bill said 100 minutes of data usage (it was included in my minutes plan).

Anyone else have this happen ?

I upgraded to the .03 software and the response time when pressing buttons is just awful. There are delays all over the place. I heard a rumor that there is something that you can turn off which will decrease the response time. Any confirmation on that?

what is the slot underneath tha M on tha front of tha razr v3c?? ive always wondered..

I currently have the RAZr v3 from Verizon. Like everyone else, I HATE THE VERIZON USER INTERFACE! I don't want to flash it to ALLTELL cuz I know I'll screw it up.
So if I buy an "unlocked" phone somewhere, will Verizon activate it and can I use it keeping the MOTO interface that I love? (I used to have it with Cingular.) Or will they make me have their stupid software installed?
What do I do?
Also, where is the best place to buy a CDMA unlocked RAZr??? (amazon only seems to have GSM unlocked, and I couldn't find much on ebay.)

the version 04 software upgrade is avaliable as of 4/18/06 at all local Verizon wireless stores no word as of what it fixies and cripples.i will post that soon

I finally connected MPT with my new Razr (thanks again Greyboy). But I had few more questions to ask.

First of all, I found out that the phonebook function worked only having the phone as V3c from the CDMA list, and the multimedia function working only as V3 from the GSM list. Is this correct or am I the only one who gets this?

Second question that I have is about the ringtones that I can use for razr v3c.

I'd like to know which formats, size, and bit rates of the music clips would be the best to use.

For example,

Formats?
mp3, wav, mid, wma, wmv, mmf etc.

How long?

Bit Rates?
I think I read somewhere that it works best as 48kbits/44kHz/Mono. Can anyone check with me?

And which folder does it needs to b...

Hi quick question.
If you disable EVO do you really save that much battery? I thought I read somewhere that you really don't save much battery? I don't use V-cast so I guess I don't need it... Does it speed up text's and picture send/receiveing? It seems that I'm going through battery in a day and I'm not even on the phone that much.. I just got the phone it's like a week and a half old... Also charging the battery should I wait till it's dead or plug it in before I go to bed at night? I don't know if this battery holds a memory or not and I want to do what I can to keep the best battery life..

I had a Verizon Rep tell me to call *228 every couple months to update cell site and software through the mother ship.

Has anyone ever had anything bad happen as a result of calling this? Any good comments?

I am very impressed with my new razor, it is a very nice phone. It makes calls, that is what it is supposed to do, and it does it well. Every thing else that this phone can do is just an added bonus

I know many already know this, but just in case...if you don't like having to always enter your password to get your voice mail messages, you can just enter your voicemail # in your Contact list, then use the
pause feature to add your password, then assign it to a speed dial #, then all you have to do is hit your speed dial to get your VM.
Again, sorry if everyone already knew this. I'm just a newbie discovering stuff with my new toy!!....Bill

When adding a contact in the list and only putting one number in under the "Mobile 1" area, no other numbers in "Home" etc., and you try to use voice dialing it keeps asking "which number, Mobile or Mobile 1." In the instruction book it says that if there is only one number listed for a contact you should only have to say there name, not name and Mobile 1, etc. Anyone else having this issue or do I have a bad phone?

PS There is no "Mobile" area to put a number in, just "Mobile 1 and Mobile 2."

I read on CNET.COM that it is possible to put the phone on vibrate and go to "vibrate detail" and choose a ringtone. This will then make the ringer "Ring and Vibrate," Is this possible or is there really no solution to the "Ring and Vibrate" feature. This is a thing that is sort of holding me back from trading my 8100 in and getting the RAZR.

I guess if the ringers are loud enough i could deal with it but lemme know.
