Hello, I ordered an A950 two weeks ago. When the phone arrived I was shocked at how poor the voice quality was (however I was impressed wih the camera and the MP3 player.)
I had a second A950 sent out and the voice quality was excellent. However it has the more recent software that eliminated the MP3 player and replaced it with the miserable WMA player that is now standard.
From reading the forums I gather that there is no way to reinstall the MP3 player on phone #2.
Is there any way to update phone #1 so that the RF is improved without losing the MP3 player?
Here is the software version information for both phones...
950 W/ TF Card And Leather Case.....Anyone Interested???????
I have a 950 that has only been used about two weeks and is still in new condition in orginal box with all contents and also a 256MB TF Card and never used Verizon leather case for it. I'm selling all for $275 w/ free shipping. If anyone is interested, e-mail me at: email@example.com. If not, I'll ebay it, but wanted to offer it to my "PhoneScoop Family" first. 🙂
I've had the phone for a week now, and I'm truly disappointed by the lack of useful ringtones included in the phone. My old V60 came with a bunch of simple ringtones that were loud enough to get my attention.
The a950 didn't come with ringers that are loud and I haven't been able to download a ringer that is loud to be heard all the time.
I've had to turn on Vibrate for all rings and that helps.
Anyone that has some suggestions is welcome to contact me.
I love this phone, love the camera, but one thing i hate. there is a delay after i press to take a picture and the actually taking of the picture. so if i push the button and then move the camera, i miss the shot. or if i try to take a picture of something the is not stationary, cant do it. anyone know why or how to fix this? thanks!
Music from Kazaa, Limewire, etc., and the Licenses?????
I just bought the Music Essential Kit and the micro Trans Flash card. I began reading different reviews and boards about the a950 to make sure that I had all of the things needed to begin listening to music on my phone. However, I have come across many reviews that say due to copy-right licenses I cannot listen to any songs on my phone unless they are bought directly from Verizon, or unless they are ripped from my own CD’s.
So my question is: will I not be able to put any of the songs I download from Kazaa, Limewire, etc., onto my phone? Or will some of these songs that I have downloaded from these programs work (i,e: have a compatible license), and others not work?
Thanks. I haven’t opened the card or the ME kit, so I guess I’m pre... (continues)
