Hello,
I ordered an A950 two weeks ago. When the phone arrived I was shocked at how poor the voice quality was (however I was impressed wih the camera and the MP3 player.)

I had a second A950 sent out and the voice quality was excellent. However it has the more recent software that eliminated the MP3 player and replaced it with the miserable WMA player that is now standard.

Has anyone else found this to be the case?

Is there a down side to turning off EVDO?

That's been an issue with this phone from what I heard. More than likely, I'll be waiting for the Samsung SCH-a930, which supposedly will have the mp3 support, which was stripped from the a950 after the firmware upgrade. I however don't know how to a...

I've read in another forum that the WMA format can be replaced with MP3 format by re-flashing the software at a properly equipped Verizon shop.

I haven't verified this claim yet however, I'm heading that way tomorrow and I plan on asking. I don't want to library separate formats of the same music.
