PTT

Does anyone have an idea about t-mobile and the use of the PTT feature, is it going to be a new option like nextel has? Just wondering.

6101 - First Impressions

i had chance to see the phone today at a Tmobile store. unfortunately, i was not that impressed by the looks. It is not small and almost the same size with my current Moto V300.
i am sure the software, camera, and other features are good enuff but i was expecting a more sleek design,,

and belive me you wont be that WOW!! when you see the phone,,,

LG C2000 vs. Nokia 6102

Hi everyone 🙂 --

I'm rather new to this board, but I read it quite frequently. I'm in the market for a new phone... I'm with Cingular and I am tempted to go with the LG C2000, however the 6102 is very alluring too. I just thought I'd ask for peoples opinions on the two phones and any recommendations... I'm not looking for anything super fancy with the works, but something up to date is nice too.

Is the LG better? Or Nokia? Which of the two have the better camera? Also, do these two phones have international capabilities? When I was using the comparisson feature on the Cingular website, it says that the LG C2000 does. [I go overseas a bit (Hong Kong) and was curious as to if the phones would work over there with a quick switch of...

6101 - Upgrade Price...

Does anybody has a solid information about the upgrade price of 6101?

I saw a posting saying that it is gonna be $60 cheaper than the new activation (149.99)

If that's true, $90 for this piece of machine is a very good deal...

Nokia 6101 vs. Motorola v330???

I am having a hard time picking a phone! I had a Motorola v300 for the past year and a half and it finally died. It was okay - there were a lot of bugs, the sound quality wasn't that great and that is important to me, but it had cool features like ringtones - and I like that.

I was told the v330 is a MUCH IMPROVED version of the 300...that the sound quality is a lot better and a lot of the bugs have been worked out...but I decided to try a new phone altogether, and take a break from Motorola (I had the v70 before the v300).

So, I tried the Samsung e335 - hated it. Now I have the e635 and am not a fan of it either.....

I am waiting for the Nokia 6101 but after reading all the reviews about it versus the v330 - I am wondering if ...

Question for Dark54555

Hi there,

I see that Slimjimponka is back online for Ebay. I'm not too sure what might have happened to him,but he's back.

Did you get your phone yet or resolve the situation. He emailed me back tonight b/c I asked him to leave feedback for my Ebay name; so I think he's still alive, ahahah!!

I still have recieved mine yet;but on his feedback, a individual stated it took them awhile as well. I hope it all works out; let me know whats going on.

Thanks

Will there be both a Unlocked & Unbranded 850 6101 phone?

Hi there,

I like how majority of the unlocked 6101's are not branded by any company-the only bad part is,is that they are 900/1800/1900mz.

I am a Cingular customer and I ordered my 6101 unlocked from Canada & the good news is,that it is 850/1800/1900mz,but the bad news is that it is branded thru Rodgers AT&T.

I wanted to know if they will have a unlocked unbranded 6101 with the frequency of 850/1800/1900mz soon? (will it be after it comes out to T-Mobile)? Or do you think the only way to get the 850mz version is by buying the branded ones?

Thanks

(T-Mobile's 6101 coming out & Rodgers are 850/1800/1900mz)

For those awaiting this phone...(My opinion)

I’ve had this phone for just about has long as I have been reading this thread(a couple of months) and I just want to tell you all what you can expect if you’re awaiting it.
The last Nokia I had was the 6610 and the only thing different about this phone is that it’s a flip, it has video, it has a built in camera, it has bluetooth capabilities and it can play MP3 ringtones. THAT’S IT!! It will not replace your digital camera or your MP3 player. It will not be your home theatre system, clean your house or fix your dinner.
It has wonderful reception, but if you are in a place with poor reception, as with any cell phone, expect your calls to be faint or be cut off.
The video is good for a phone. The pictures that is takes could be better ...

Question for those with the phone

I was wondering if the 6101 had any keys on the sides on the phone like the Motorola's do. Those keys are one of my biggest pet peeves on Motorola phones. Thanks

what is the big deal with this phone?

ok, at first i wanted this phone and i love nokia. they make great phones.

but what is the big deal?

if nokia really wants to make fresh inroads into the US market (which they are gonna have to do with flip phones cos that is what sells in the US) - why not offer one with a full load of features?

the 6101/6102 has no bluetooth, a limited use camera, no mp3 player, no email client.

personally the nokia 6682 looks like an awesome phone but i am done with candybar phones.

many other manufacturers (samsung, sony, motorola) are making phons with all these functions in a flip.

nokia has awesome phones in europe - like the n90 - why not release it here??? people love the nokia brand.

come on nokia release a phone with some mor...

Incompatible Charger?

When I looked at a non-working demo, it looked like it uses a different charger incompatible with every Nokia I currently own (looked like a skinnier connection). Is that correct or is it my imagination?
