I’ve had this phone for just about has long as I have been reading this thread(a couple of months) and I just want to tell you all what you can expect if you’re awaiting it.
The last Nokia I had was the 6610 and the only thing different about this phone is that it’s a flip, it has video, it has a built in camera, it has bluetooth capabilities and it can play MP3 ringtones. THAT’S IT!! It will not replace your digital camera or your MP3 player. It will not be your home theatre system, clean your house or fix your dinner.
It has wonderful reception, but if you are in a place with poor reception, as with any cell phone, expect your calls to be faint or be cut off.
The video is good for a phone. The pictures that is takes could be better ...

while I do not own the phone I am buying it as soon as it becomes available in my area.

I love the FM radio on my phone

according to the pics of the phone it has an external antenna and all phones require some type of antenna to get reception at all.

I feel about the same as chocolatchild about the phone. I really don't see or have any problems with finger prints on mine. I just wipe it against my shirt or pants and it wipes clean.

The ringers are giving me a tough time tho. The Nokia PC Suite only recognizes MIDI files. Most of the high quality ringers that I can get on-line are in mp3 format. I guess I'll have to burn them to a CD and have PC Suite read them from there(?). I can find free MIDI ringers but the quality is crap! Most of the good ones that I hear are in mp3 format. Audacity cannot convert mp3 to MIDI. It can convert to other formats, but not to MIDI. chocolatchild maybe you can help me out here. How are you loading high quality ringers onto the 6101???

The antenna ...

Could you read the post I just made - don't want to repeat it here, but would love your advice! You seem to have knowledge of the Motorola v300 series as well as Nokia.

Thank you 🙂
