Motorola E815 / E816 Hollywood

Does anyone know if the faceplates for the 710 will be compatible with the new e815?

Just ordered mine online from Verizon Wireless and didn't look to see what was available in the way of faceplates.

Is there a perfect case (not the original Verizon case) that was made for E815 and not for V710 or some others?

I am looking for a leather case with a perfect fit for my E815 phone.

i'm up in canada and thinking of buying this phone from aliant, but i can't find any good sites like phonescoop for the canadian carriers or phones and i'm not sure if it would have the same problems up here(well the one with the battery life cause that has to do with verizon's data network signal strength and i don't think alient offers EV-DO), so if u know or know of any sites please let me know

Is anyone else having any problems with dirt getting underneath the screen of the phone?

i'd love to squirt a little WD40 on that sucker or maybe some lawnmower oil! my hinge is so loud it makes my teeth hurt when i close or open it 😛

The E815 has a reminder that beeps. Is that stating that there is a voicemail or is it stating just missed call? My sister is telling me her phone only beeps for a voicemail. I thought it was a missed call reminder.

I just bought an external memory card for this phonw, and i went to best buy to see if they have any data cables for it and they do, its called datapilot. has anyone tried it? can anyone tell me a good software and cable that allows me to transfer my music to phone? thanks !

as anyone else had the problem with sticking non-working keys?

Just got my E815 a couple days ago and it seems like a fine phone, except for one thing with the text messaging.

I've noticed that, when I'm sending texts to other Verizon phones, they always go through nice and quick, and the "recieved" checkmark thing is neat and all that. The problem is that, when I send to phones on other carriers, the texts just dont get there more than 50% of the time. Today, for example, I've sent 10 texts to non-verizon phones, and only 3 got there. Similar thing with recieving messages from non-Verizon phones; half of the texts just don't ever make it to my phone.

With my old phone (old-ass 2002-03 LG something) I never had this problem, same plan and junk.

Anyone noticed this? I'll call CS in the next coup...

I mean I know it's free to use the site, but is it free for my phone's end. I just got my phone today and I want to know if verizon will charge me per meessage or per kilobyte for the ringtones I want to send.

Anyone have experience with both? I have the v710 now and have got to get something better!

I just bought the E815 2 days ago and the voice command key was working fine - now all of the sudden when I push it - it doesn't do anything - if I hold it down it goes to voice record(which is right)
Is there something wrong with the phone or is there a way to turn that feature back on?

I dropped my e815 in water. It works, but it dont work. So i wanted to get a new one, but i dont have the warranty form verizon... so what can i do(besides buying a whole new 1?).. any suggestions!?

Hello all,

Is there any way to change my pictures so the last one taken appears at the top of my list and not at the end. when I go in to "Pictures" it always shows the oldest pictures first. I have searched for a setting to no avail.

Also, Is there any way to delete those awful images in my gallery that came with the phone. I pull up the picture individually and push the menu button. There is no delete or erase option on the list.

I had a Motorola two years ago. Did the every two and decided on the LG7000. Had to exchange it three times.
On my old Motorola, I loved the loud alert notifying me that I had missed a voice mail. The LG had a 2 min. alert, but could not hear it. Very faint. Had only one option..on or off. And I carry the phone in my purse, so that made it impossible to hear.
Exchanged it for the E815 today. Now I remember one thing I didn't like about the Motorola. What's the purpose of having a wallpaper picture when you have all those icons on top of it. Dumb! And there's no way of deleting the icons. I haven't seen this problem on the forums before. Does it not bother anyone not to see their wallpaper without the icons, or is it just me? I h...

I was wondering about this because I was going to buy a gift certificate to Musicmatch Jukebox for my wife to download music to play on her phone. But Musicmatch uses the WMA format and it can't be converted to MP3 due to Digital Rights Management. I can't find any websites that provide music downloads in the MP3 format. This pretty much makes the MP3 player useless for listening to music I buy online. If it doesn't support anything other than MP3, then does anyone know how to get around this?

I need to get a new phone with Verizon. The E815 is $100 while the V710 is $70. However, they throw in a JBT150 bluetooth headset and a 16 MB transflash card with the v710. How much worse is the v710 than the e815. I basically care about reception/overall quality, bluetooth quality, camera, using mp3s as ringers, and size/weight. Also, I like to use vibrate a lot so a good vibrate mode is important too. Thanks for the help.

does anyone know how to put mp3's on phone using USB cable. i have a usb cable, a transflash card, but i cant find where to go on my computer to put songs onto my fone.
