Samsung SGH-D500

Just posted this as review - any comments?

I like the D500, except for the BT - will not work correctly with my sony BT h/s (headset). dosen't have auto-answer and if not already connected, will ask on phone if it should connect - not exactly handsfree (legal requirement in UK cars) - my old T68i had auto-connect.
If connected before call, will ring in h/s and button on h/s will answer call, but then need to hang up with phone - again not handsfree.
Once you've done that, the phone appears to loose contact with h/s, but won't let you disconnect and will not connect again (fails both ways). Requires you turn D500 off to clear this.

I have ordered a bulk order of the Samsung d500 unlocked brand new phone.

I'm not happy that this phone was advertised with SyncML and USB, but not supplied with software, a cable, or any clue where to get them. I've not seen any Samsung stealer advertise it.
Let me know if I'm the only one with this issue. 😡

Is there any way that u can edit the message tone, so u can mp3's as it ??

I have read that D500 can record video up to 60 mins. Though, from what i have read, the video format that it supports is MPEG-4. Most phones on the market record videos in 3GP format. So my QUESTION is... Is D500 capable of receiving and playing 3GP format video clips from other phones? Can i send a video clip that i have recorded from my D500 to another phone?

is the lack of a classic telephone ring tone (I'm using the beat box one).

Any suggestions on where to search for compatible ring tones for the D500?

I am seriously thinking about buying the d500 but one thing is holding me back and thats the bluetooth. Its says it has blutooth version 1.1 and that ment nothing to me until my friend told me its the worst bluetooth and you can't do anything with it. I mainly will be using the bluetooth to send files wirelessly to other peoples phones.
So will someone please reply and tell me if you can send stuff to other peoples phones using the bluetooth or if not what you can do with the bluetooth.

Well now that I have had a few hours to play with it I must say I am IMPRESSED. Well worth the money in every respect. I am still trying to figure out some of the commands like transferring photos on my sim to the phone which seems unlikely. The limited accessories mean I will be without a car charger for some time unless there is a comparitable model. Screen wise, photo wise and everything else feels so good in my hand compared to my TM-150. I am going to have to hunt around for WAP setting to make it work 100%. For those who want pics or other info just send me your e-mail. Cheers

This may seem like a really stupid question but how do you insert smiley icons in t9 in the d500. Have tried loads of different ways inluding saving the smiley icon under spelling but can't figure it out.
