Samsung SGH-D500

Initially display looked "solarized" and but would change when navigating but now has totally dropped to the same static white noise screen.

No dmage incurred except a 50 mile cycle ride with no protection from the sun or sweat.

Thoughts ?

Hi all. I have a question about D500. I believe you all know how to upload apps and games via bluetooth with that serial port thing. I use my laptop to do this. But is there a way to connect the D500 to Internet trough my laptop? I know it's ussualy the other way around, but there must be a way to use the laptop as a gateway...

1.can anyone who has this pgone tell me plz how to make the ceamera clear. i already made it super fine but the size if i make it
bigger would it be better quality.
2. if i put the flash light on what difference will it make.
3. should i put the video camera lenght on normal or limit of mms
4. the quality of the video camera is there any way i can change it it says economy but i cant change it

I'm torn between ordering a D500 or a D600. The D600 has a 2 MP camera instead of a 1.3MP camera and offers an expansion slot so that I can put more music on it (and put music on it more easily using my collection of Palm Pilots.) The 600 is a Quad band (not that I'm going to need that really) and is slightly smaller. However it gives up IR for Pictbridge (and I have a printer that would make Pictbridge useable) But I'm not sure it's worth the $300 difference in price for a better camera and an expansion slot. Anybody who has used either of these phones...any advice. I'm leaning towards the D500 atm...but I have heard that T-mobile may be getting the D600 some time in the near furture as well which would mean it would be easier to set...

Anyone know a site you can get to through the browser to download GOOD games? I can go to Google and search the mobile web, but most of the results aren't supported, and the ones that are are junk. I know the java supports better games, but where are they? In particular, the free ones! Remember, I have T Mobile in America!

will this phone work with sprint?

i just order'd a d500. i have cingular in KY. will there be any additional setups that i'll need to go through b4 this phone works, or can i charge it, pop my sim and go? its unlocked and brand new, i just dont understand the WAP and all that junk... i basically need to know what i will have to do to make this phone work. I have a p207 w/cingular now, and experience no troubles.... just wanted a second phone. i think. please reply!

Is it possible to access the sms message folder on the phone to transfer them to a PC. I've tried Samsung's own PIM / File Manager software and MobileAction Handset Manager with no successs.

I just got the sgh-d500 and i didnt get a headset! and also my friend told me that his came with a USB cord too and i dont have one. Dont i need it to transfer mp3 files to my phone. Did anyone else didnt get the usb cord either? Please help!!

i need help finding the wap gprs setting for cingular i found the settings that someone had posted previously but they are not working i get an error request timed out. so does anybody know of different settings for it or if you know how to fix the problem. please help me 😢 thanks

hi! i fell in LOVE with the d500 phone but the price is wayy toooooo expensive .. my mom handes my phone bills and she refuses to pay for anything more than 100 bucks.. do you think it'll be about taht low with a new contract by teh end of august?

I have service with FIDO in canada. I can receive text messages but I cannot reply back or sent text messages. If I reply or send it simply says error or retry and the message never gets sent. Is there a seeing I need to change to resolve this? Please any assistance would be great.

PLEASE! Can somebody help me and tell me how many text messages this phone holds? i know it has a big memeory and all the reviews ive read say it holds so many pictures and mp3s and stuff but no where mentions the texts! i really want to buy thi sphone but need it to store a lot of messages!

Does anyone know if T-Mobile's data software can be installed on this phone? I just got the phone, but didn't realize that I can't do picture messaging unless GPRS is enabled. I'd really appreciate your response.

Is there a setting to allow the clock to update itself from the network, or must it be manually changed? Having to set the time zones and specify daylight saving options for each one when travelling seems like quite a chore.
