Well now that I have had a few hours to play with it I must say I am IMPRESSED. Well worth the money in every respect. I am still trying to figure out some of the commands like transferring photos on my sim to the phone which seems unlikely. The limited accessories mean I will be without a car charger for some time unless there is a comparitable model. Screen wise, photo wise and everything else feels so good in my hand compared to my TM-150. I am going to have to hunt around for WAP setting to make it work 100%. For those who want pics or other info just send me your e-mail. Cheers

My biggest question is, what exactly can you do and what can't you do with the slider closed? Obviously you can't take pictures with it closed since the camera lense is concealed when the phone is closed, but what else? One of the big dissapoinments to me with the 415 was the lack of functionality when the slider was closed. Specifically, can you view pictures, play mp3's, make calls, etc with the slider closed.

Also, can you listen to mp3s with a BT headset?

Hey aleicgrant,

If you don't mind me asking..how much did you pay for this phone. I'm looking into getting one myself and have seen them go for as much as 700 bucks on ebay. Thanks.

😳

If you buy one for that much you are being taken for a ride. I 'secured' mine for £70 of the queens finest Great British pounds!

yes you can view pictures, play mp3's and make calls with the slider closed. there is even a function that allows you to either continue or end programs when you close the slider. nope you can't take pix with it closed. but you can do practically everything else with the slider closed as to open except dial.
don't have my bt headset yet but i'll post reply when i get in a couple days about the mp3 question. hope that helps

I would suggest checking out howardforums.com as I believe the d500 supports wap 2.0 and the settings you are getting are probably not including the right IP addresses. Good luck!!
