Motorola V710

aldcon is it true (acc to howards forum)that 7000 is next tuesday and 9900 2 weeks after that? Possible??????

Motorola already has the V600 in release for AT&T, and the V710 is supposed to be the same phone, so why is it taking so long for them to release the V710? My nephew has the V600 and from I can see both phones seem identical. Also, why the garbage about extensive field testing. I have the Audiovox 8900 and it's a piece of crap. The sound is terrible; the volume level keeps changing; and the speakerphone is as useful as holding the phone away from you ear and listening through a regular earpiece. And they tested it for months?????

For "****s and giggles" I emailed the dude who was selling the V810 on ebay and asked him if he could sell me the V710. This was the response:

"I should have a v710 this week as well as a few v810's. The 710 will run you $800, the 810 $500. There is no release date set for these phones yet."

I think its funny. But sadly enough, people will pay these prices to have these phones early.

And if you don't know it why you saying i assume this and that or it will come out now or tomorrow. Everyone has different dates on the phone..... Anyone one got the right date? Like i Called Motorola Today and I asked them when is V710 will be coming the dude said probably next !!!! Stupid Motorola doesn't even know when their own phone will be coming out thats how retarted they are!!!!

I want to know if this phone will support streaming video when it comes out here. Also when it says it supports video playback, does that mean you can put videos from your comp on the phone and watch them? I can't decide between this phone and the Kyocera Koi....Thanks for the help!

the fact that motorola has information about a contest for the first 710 people who register their phone, leads me to believe that the phone is going to be released any day now...hopefully

I have a stupid T720 that i want to get rid of so bad. I can't wait for the V710. What happens if my T720 suddenly disappears. 👿 Verizon says they discontinue the phone, what would they replace mine with. I have insurance.

Ok I know for phones like nextel theres a usb connection in order to get mp3's onto your phone as ringtones but since there is no usb connection for the 710 can somebody explain to me plz how'd that work? As well as getting jpeg files onto the phone as backgrounds? Thanks

every1 is getting so excited over bluetooth technology...i would like to kno whats so great about it...besdies being able to talk on a handsfree thing (which i dont have and will not waste money to buy) and besides being able to print pictures with a bluetooth printer (which i dont have and will not buy), whats the point of bluetooth??? like what else can it do??? also i heard it was outdated technology, is this true???

i was thinking about getting this phone but then i realized its going to cost $100-$200 more for something that i will rarely use, so can you tell me a phone coming out that has most of the same features of the v710, just without the useless bluetooth??? thanks 😳

In a Motorola staff meeting yesterday it was stated that the V710 will hit the market in August! Verizon can't sell the phones until Moto delivers them. Makes sense to me!

how does the video/video messaging and sending of videos work? All good?

Since you are one of the only ones here that has the v710, have you tried using the blue tooth connectivity at all? Can you elaborate on what it will and will not work with from your experience?

I tried the phone out for a few days two weeks ago. I can summarize it as this....Finally Motorola has produced a good phone once again. I was almost ready to give up on Motorola but this one works and works well. It is definitely a phone that I will be purchasing.

I have a feeling that we are going to see this come out in the near, near, near future as the Mother's Day gifts of all M Day gifts. Interestingly, Verizon has not released any info on their M Day promotions and some speculate that this could be it.

Also, played with a v878 today... what crap! I assume that the GSM version cannot be much different than the CDMA version and ergo both suck.

I work for a large company that is a big buyer of Motorola products. We spoke with our sales rep who is fairly senior around 2 weeks ago. They said to expect the phone in 60 days....but who know.

What exactly do you need to connect this phone using bluetooth to your computer? I mean is there are card you have to get or would one of these "dongler" things work?

If motorola gets it on the 21st but verizon gets it say a week later. That means that anybody that bought it on the motorola website has the best chance to get the free accessory. Because by the time Verizon starts selling it, Im sure 710 people would have registered it by buying it at motorola. SO anybody who has a contract with Verizon and is waiting to upgrade(Like me) is gonna be stumped on that free accessory. oh well.
