V710 RELEASE

Readers I think we all need to be patient with the release of the V710. I really don’t think we should get our hopes up to high because I really don’t think the phone will be released on may 21 or around the beginning of June either. I think Verizon is not in a rush and the date May 21 is more likely false, this is because Verizon hasn’t even gone National with the EV-DO network. I am not on here to shoot down your dreams or nothing; I just don’t won’t all of us to get our hopes of high and be disappointed.

Also if it does come out in May or early June which I do not believe, I will be really happy because I live in Washington DC, and DC has the EV-DO network currently.

🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂

Verizon web site out of stocks?

Has anyone noticed there is an unusually high amount of out of stocks on the verizon wireless website? Wonder if they're discontinuing them in preparation to move in different products, possibly v710?

Release Date & Photos in Annual Report

First a bit of fatherly advice: Calm down and remain Ladies and Gentlemen. We are only discussing cell phones and not a life threatening disease!!

I have received Motorola's Annual Report and the usual stockholders' voting proxy request. In the Report, there were photos of the V710 and a statement that said the V710 would be available to the public in June 2004.

Of course that doesn't mean Verizon will run with the ball!! My wife and I are long time StarTac users with a very long relationship with VZW and our phones need a permanent rest.

Motorola replaced their top management during the past year: failure to produce new product (phones, CPU chips, etc.) in a timely fashion, which contributed to the change. Perhaps Verizon "biggies...

Found something interesting about the release on Motorola website...

http://commerce.motorola.com/consumer/QWhtml/product ... »

In the 'offer details' link:

"Be one of the first 710 people to purchase a Motorola v710 handset and register your purchase online at http://www.motorola.com/shop/v710registration , after receiving official notification from Motorola that registration has begun, and receive a FREE Bluetooth® device of your choice: Motorola hands-free Bluetooth® headset HS810 (ARV $119.99) or Bluetooth® Portable Wireless Speaker HF800 (ARV $119.99). Offer expires July 10, 2004 or while the first 710 offer packages last."

hmmm, offer expires July 10th. that's some interesting foreshadowing towards an official release date...

Starting Monday, May 10, Verizon Wireless will be charging a $15 activation fee on ALL 2 YEAR aggreement lines. The 1 year agreement activation fee remains $35. Oh well...Verizon Wireless, we never stop ripping you off...

PUT ALL THE RUMORS TO REST!!!!

I will say this about the v710 to put all rumors to rest. I do work for VZW! Ive been asking around and got a answer the reason why we haven't got any good phns from motorola..because they leaked info about our push to talk(PTT) to NEXTEL when they made our v60s.. motorola owes 75% of Next el. So thats why we sued them (NEXTEL)..and then when they came out with the v60s..they made it PTT capable and we loss alot of money on it before we found out.. and the v810 was about to come out but when they tested we found out whn they flipd the phone open and pull the anttna up it would block the camra.. and they was upset that we didnt want it we wntd thm to fix it theyd didnt want to..they said they didnt understand why the annta needed to be up wh...

be honest guys; if the 9900 or the 7000 come out in next week or two as reported in howards forums

then who isnt going to get one? PUH-LEASE !!! If either r out, then none of us r going to wait for the 810 which is last years model w no video etc, or the 710 which might come out in late summer. We'll b rushing to the stores to chk out the new video phone.I know it and u know it!!!!!!
