I just called MOTOROLA and the costumer service rep said the same that phone will be out on 5/21. That is the latest information that she had how accurate it is who knows but thats what she said. I asked about price but she didn't have an answer for that, she said its up to Verizon!

That date is consistent with what Verizon told me (via e-mail) last week. They actually said the 23rd, but I think that's close enough.

I received an answer from Motorola that the phone will be shipped by the end of May and should be out the first week in June.

LOL another round of dates, and yet again...nobody really knows.
In reality it's quite likely that no one person really does know. There are probably so many phases to releasing and distributing a phone, so many variables, that targeting a specific date for end-customer release would require cross-functional and cross-company management beyond what one typically sees in this industry.
May 21 would be awesome, but really - waiting for a Bluetooth phone with Verizon is such an exercise in patience that most of us have learned not to hold our breath. I'll believe this thing is out when a Verizon rep hands me the phone and says "thank you for shopping with Verizon Wireless".

I have been corrected. I just got an email from Motorola in regards to the release date. May 21st is still the expected ship date. Although a week ago I received a letter saying the end of July. I will post the letter in its entirety below.

Its funny cause Motorola told me September 20th 2004. Who knows. Each person you email or talk to tells you another day. I'd rather they are taking their time since I don't want to have to return the phone the following week for errors in the software.

I have been patiently waiting for the V710 for some time now, and my patience is wearing thin. I have been looking into the Korean and Japanese phones that can be imported (for big $$$ of course). My question is about those phones particularly the MS280/Spinmoto. I know that there is no internet access on the 1x network, but will it work on EV-DO? What other feature of this phone will/won't work with Verizon? Does anyone know how good Verizon's coverage for the 800MHz band is? Anything else good/bad that I should be aware of before I spend lots of money on this phone?

Yeah, I asked about the v810 and got a letter from them telling me the first week in May. Well, no v810. They don't know, and even if they actually thought it would be out then, it is still up to Verizon to get it out and sell it... âšī¸

I just spoke to God, he said that this cell phone is not going to be released after all, it was discontinued before it could be released! Due to this Verizon is going out of business... Sorry!
