Motorola V710

What do you people suggest??? Continue to wait for the phone, or go and get the V600???

I must have had this phone for 4 years. I pulled it out at a Nada's concert the other day and all the college kids thought I had some new sweet-ass phone. Why haven't cell phones gotten smaller?? I picked that one because it fits in my pocket so well I can hardly tell its there. This is a nice tiny phone that doesn't have many features (because its old) but it looks cool and does the job. I guess since I can't get smaller phones I started looking at phones with lots of features. The V710 is just a little bigger than the 8210, but I guess I can handle it since it's a whole eisle of Best Buy wrapped into a little box. One would think the basic phones with no extra features could be way smaller by now. Oh well. 😕

does anyone know hen exactally this phone will be coming out and about how much it will cost? Please respond.

will I be able to print out decent 4 x 6 photos with this camera phone? Which camera phone produces the best quality photo? I have never owned a camera phone because I think most of them are bulky. I like the vx7000 for its smallness but it lacks the 1.2 megapixels.

I live in the NY and we on the east coast are going to get the phone first. So when the phone comes out, and i know this for a fact, it sells out in the first 2 days, how long do you guys think it will take for Motorola ship a new order of the phones. Will it take the same amount of time it took us to actually see the phone 🤣

thats the device that updates the info that I posted about earlier and common sense is that since the 710 has just been added to cellbrite, its one more reason (apart from the dozen others of:avail on ebay, moto text, moto email, moto stating 5-21,moto pushing on their webpage and VZW clearing current stock, the smell etc) that phone is imminent

If the V710 is released May 21st, where will it be available? Obviously verizon authorized dealers will get them last, but will verizon stores have them that day? I live in Ohio, so I'm not sure how quickly we'll get them. Will the verizon website have them ?

It does sound like the phone will be worth the wait, whenever the ^$##@! it comes out.

Do you think the LG 7000 be any competition for the 710 because the 7000 will hold 200 picture on the phone and 31 15-second video clips on the phone and be abe to download 4 megs off of brew.

I am not to familiar with bluetooth but do you have to have both the Moto speaker and headset to give you hands free capability or can you pick which one you would rather have and use for hands free purpsoses? thanks

Ok, now its my turn to tell of my experiences calling motorola and verizon the past few days about the V710. First, Motorola is screwed up as to the info it gives its employees. They all have asian accents and there answers are all inconsistent. THe responses I have got is the 21, 26th, end of many, early june, mid summer, late summer, late july, and one woman even told me it was released this past wednesday(LOL) I promise! So I don't know whats up with Moto? Verizon is worthless, all they give is I never heard of that phone or go to phonescoop. However, I just got off the phone with one lady from customer care and she was very helpful. She knew the phone and she said this summer. So I asked is it still in testing and she said "NO" its out o...

so if some on this forum have access to "infomanager" as to dates such as the 790 on 5-24, any dates on this710 or 9900 or 7000 (the 3 that seem to be real close)? Surely thers gots to b a tid-bit? Thanks

Under mp3 playback in the features it says that we can listen to mp3's with the usage of the headset, but we cna also play it and listen w/o headset using speaker right???

every few hours, a new one gets listed. WOW. If u look at my 2+2+2 post yesterday and factor in that so many r avail on ebay and elsewhere incl some high-end cell stores here in LA, there is ZERO chance!!!! metaphysical ZERO, that this phone will b released in july or august like some idiots r claiming. Its only days away.If u sniff hard enuff, u can smell a VZW store w a 710.sniff sniff.Days away!!!

They had info on the Verizon Wireless website that Picture messaging would be coming soon...They had it up a couple months before the camera phone was released...they have had no such information for video messaging yet...my guess is that video phones will not be available for a while...usually they will warn customers that it will be coming out...that is my opinion.

Most people here have bought into the idea that this phone will be released on May 21. Now, I'm in no position to say whether this is a true or false statement (even though when I called Moto they said Q3). Nevertheless, let's say that it is true. Here's my question then: Why would VZW not be advertising the hell out of this thing? People on these forums probably make up what, 5% of everyone who has a cell phone? I would say that the vast majority of the cellular community has no idea that this phone is even pending. If there is less than a week until it is on the shelves, wouldn't VZW be trying to let everyone know about this awesome phone that will cost a billion dollars?

never ever ever (and Ive posted about this before) will a phone be avail on ebay and not b at VZW within days/weeks. NEVER!!!!!! Over the years, the vader,v60,720,lg6000 and on and on always pop up on ebay and then within a short time at VZW. Its as sure as the sun comes up. So all these supposed gurus and VZW employees and motorola managers and pessimistic naysayers w an agenda etc who say that it might b august or Q4 or xmas r 100% dead wrong. As sure as ****, this phone will b out somewhere between may 21 and perhaps early june. Its always been that way.ALWAYS!! God bless Ebay.
