wow !! Theres so many new 710s on ebay now
every few hours, a new one gets listed. WOW. If u look at my 2+2+2 post yesterday and factor in that so many r avail on ebay and elsewhere incl some high-end cell stores here in LA, there is ZERO chance!!!! metaphysical ZERO, that this phone will b released in july or august like some idiots r claiming. Its only days away.If u sniff hard enuff, u can smell a VZW store w a 710.sniff sniff.Days away!!!

Yes there are more and more on eBay and unfortunately i'm the nut who is the high bidder on the 2 i've noticed, including one with new pix that aren't all over the net. The days away part, i'm not sure about but I can only wish so I can retract my bids and save my money 😁. Usually the more that appear on eBay the closer release date is. If you've noticed the end date for the auctions is the night of May 20 and if the "expected" release date is May 21, they will wake up and see they spent 50% more for the phone and will be very upset and actually might catch a non-paying bidder alert for that. I know if I win and they come out on 5/21 i'm not going to pay $800 for it so i'll just have to get a non-paying bidder alert on it. It is really a sm...

Seems logical to wait and see what happens. If it's not out by the end of the month and you don't get a concrete release date, then decide whether to purchase the phone. Seems stupid to pay 800 bucks at this point. I don't think you could ever convince me to pay 800 bucks for any cellphone but thats just me. I don't think this phone is worth 800 bucks at all. If it blew you and washed your clothes everynight then thats a different story entirely.

I remember BMR,that about 8 years ago when I was a you-tt, I paid 1200 for the brand new Startac, but youre right that these days w all the promos,competition etc, one should never have to pay more than 400 or so.

Alot of the people on ebay are authorize dealers and get the phone from Motorola...Or some might be Motorola employees...thats why the they can sell thm like tht

The reason why people sell them on eBay prior to release date is to make a profit. They know when the release date is and they schedule their auctions as such.
Par example, for example, you buy a v710 from Motorola, you work for Motorola so you know the release date so for this scenario we'll use 5/21. OK you buy the phone from Motorola for $400, knowing it's going to be HOTT so you sell it on eBay knowing you'll have tech junkies, like ourselves, who want it so you sell it for $1200. Yo im an ebay king myself but did any of you stop to think that some of the v710s on ebay arent real? the pics that are being used for the most part looked like the SAME ONES from the howardforum. people do this all the time with certain sneakers, phones, computers, etc just to get those few ebay newbs to buy something and run off with their money

Yes that is true, in matter of fact I flamed one guy for not taking his own original pics. If you look on the auction that is currently at $810 you'll see that he took his own pictures so that gives the buyer a little more confidence when buying from him. the he actually has a real shipping price and not that $40 and $50 listed in the other auction...
