😢 wow thats gay.... i just assumed since this is made by moto and the i730 was made by moto that you would be able to listen to mp3s without a headset since thats the case with the i730. thats also why i thought you could use those mp3s as ringtones as well

Incorrect, based on the Qualcomm chipset and the lastest versions on the Motorola Vxxx series this phone will have the ability to play mp3 ringtones. Any phone built on the latest editions of the Qualcomm chipset, usually phone approved after the vx6000 will have the ability to play mp3 ringtones. True, you might need the mp3 headset if you plan on sitting back and listening to your latest album converted to mp3 format but you won't need it to make ringtones.

I didn't mean to say you were incorrect on the ringtone side of it. The chipset will allow mp3 ringtones so people don't have to worry about having crap MIDI tones or PMD tones anymore. So basically it's a fact that mp3 ringtones will work so people can stop asking about that. I believe you are right about the random mp3, whole song, thing though. You will need the mp3 headset for that but it would be nice if they made a BT headset with that feature built into it as well. Maybe that will be made in the future but as for this instance you will need the mp3 headset just like every other Motorola phone when you want to listen to...

I think you can listen to mp3 on the speaker OR the headphone. I also think that it's possible you can only download mp3 to the phone through GIN. There is a star next to the word "download", and at the bottom of the doc it says that is a service provider dependant feature. 😡

Well you won't be able to listen to your favorite album on your phone because of memory issues unless the trans-flash card can actually let you store it on there when they are available to be about publicly. I read that the prices on the will vary from $19.99 for 16mb to $36.99 for 128mb which isn't bad at all.

Nextly you won't be able to download a whole mp3 through GIN, only a mp3 ringtone I believe which you can ...
