LG VX6000 vs VX4500 vx Samsung SCH-A610
I currently own the LG VX4500 in which I have 15 days to try it out. I'm tired of the software glitches and also hearing about the poor display compared to VX6000. I understand the Samsung A610 is coming out tomorrow, Feb. 10th. I only have three more days until my trial is up and would like to know what is a better phone to go with? Please give me your insight and details. Thanks for all your help.
Another humble LG 4500 review
My biggest pet peeve – voice dial is too many steps. Sequence is:
Me:
Phone: Please say a command
M: Contacts
P: Please say a name
M: Mr Smith
P: Did you say Mr Smith
M: Yes
P: Calling
Isn’t this a longer sequence than voice dialing on most other phones!? Upon pressing Voice Command button, would be nice to be able to say “Call Mr Smith” in one step.
Second pet peeve: I’m getting a low level hiss on all calls.
Voice command – wish “digit dial” was simply “dial.” Might be able to train it this way. Also phone’s voice command responses are too loud. Should match your speaker phone and ear piece settings.
Should be able to turn voice co...

I am trying to decide between the 4500 and the Samsung 530....any opinions on this?
Also, does anyone know if there is anything else coming out soon?

New Review
Pros:
Speaker phone is great.
Driving mode works great, and you can answer calls without touching any buttons. You don't even have to touch the phone to hang up, as long as whoever you were talking to does. Digit Dial is great, picks up the numbers you voice very easily without mistake.
Haven't dropped any calls yet, but inside my house I barely have 1 bar, whereas my ATT phone had full strength. But this is probably a Verizon/Tampa thing.
Cons:
Voice dialing of contacts by name is horrible. Most of the time it doesn't even come close.
Battery life is ok, but not great. I may buy the extended battery.

Or do you think I should keep the 4400B?
Battery life
Ok..maybe its just me, but I am averaging about 2 hrs of battery life a day..now mind you I use the speakerphone about 50% of the time, wondering what is everyone elses reults.
New trick discovered !!!!!
Got a new trick that I need someone to verify. I tried this today and had success. The other night I noticed that I had the phone closed but was listening through the speaker. I couldn't figure out how.
Well, here it is.... I made a call with the headset in, and as soon as the call connected I disconnected the headset. My expectation was to be able to hear only. But to my deep satisfaction, I was able to speak and hear on the VX4500 closed. I only needed to start the call with the headset. This means that there is more hope for calls with the phone closed using the speaker entirely. My wife could hear me fine through the mic even with the phone closed. Hopefully software will be changed to allow for this. Woo Hoo !!!

My humble LG 4500 review
I bought my 4500 last Saturday (1/31) in Los Angeles. I am a long-time Nokia user (with AT&T Wireless), and I finally had enough of dropped calls and poor coverage with AT&T and made the switch.
I was quite wary of switching to a non-Nokia phone because I have 7+ years of comfort-zone using their menus...
I am very happy to report that, so far, my LG4500 and Verizon experience has been quite good.
The phone has met or exceeded my expectations in most every category.
The "Positives" so far include:
- fantastic coverage and call clarity
- good choice of base ringtones and wallpapers
- good MobileWeb performance and speed
- awesome speakerphone, better than...
