Newbie question
Question: Is it normal to hear a static at a very low level when on a call? This happens on all calls - to hardlines and cells. I am in a good signal area. My previous phone was analog only, so I expected the new digital vx4500 would eliminate this.

I think you got a bad phone. No static on mine on any volume setting. However, I did hear echo on a couple of calls, but then I redialed and it went away.
