I just got this phone over the weekend, and maybe I'm not doing something right. I'm still trying to learn all the featuers. I used the scheduling feature of my last phone a lot though, so this is a big deal to me.
I used the voice scheduler, and scheduled an appointment, set the time correctly, etc. According to the manual, the phone should alert me when the time comes up. I scheduled it to alert me "on time". But nothing happens. The time comes and goes and the phone doesn't make a sound. What am I doing wrong? Is there somewhere where I need to go to turn on the alert sounds or something? I've looked around, but geez, the menu's aren't easy to find things!
ive had some problems in the past with the vx10. i was constantly missing calls because i could not hear the ringer and also when i downloaded rings off the get it now browser those were impossible to hear. due to a water incident i am deciding to upgrade to the vx 4500... does this phone have a ringer that is easy to hear?
Is battery life related to 'bad signal' or being in 'no service'?
Recently, I bought two LG VX 4500 for a family plan. Everything is fine but battery life. I tested two batteries. In my house, it goes almost 3 days with only a few calls under good reception but it lasts only less than 24 hours at work where the signal is only one or 'no service.' The results of Both batteries were the same! Does 'bad signal' or 'no service' affect battery life? One more, battery charge time takes only 2 hours although I discharged them completely. Is it normal or not? The book says it takes 3 hours though....
Was wondering if anyone else was having this problem. I synced a picture to my 4500. I is in my "graphics" folder, when I set it as wallpaper, the handset indicates that the pic was set as wallpaper, but when I clear out of the menu I have the wallpaper I started with??
The pic works with "contacts" but not on the wallpaper setting. I am using Datapilot to sync the phone with my pc
I'm looking to upgrade my Moto V60c to the VX 4500 phone. I LOVE the V60, but it's time for an upgrade, as my screen is sadly on the fritz. Since the V60 is a tri-band phone, I'm a bit cautious to move to a Dual Mode - all digital phone. I live in the NYC area, but travel to New England and California often. Should I worry about not being able to pick up an analog signal with this phone or is all Digital the way to go? Any New Yorkers out there with some advice?
Is there any way to lock certain features on this phone without having to do it manually? I liked having the option of locking (MOTO T720) my TXT messages (no unwanted snooping)and Get It Now application so no one could accidently access it because it uses air time.
Got my VX 4500 from Verizon and am wondering if I have to register the warranty. Didn't find a card or anything in the box and the LG website only allows you to register their appliances and audio products. Am I trying to do something that isn't necessary?
I have just gotten the 4500, and I've seen this phone with real songs as ringtones just like the nextel I730 has. at first i thought i can send myself emails with the songs in them but the phone doesnt come with an email adress. I'm sure that somebody has songs as ringtones, can you help?
Does anyone know if this phone has the ability to sync with Notes? The connectivity kit that Verizon lists for this phone references Outlook, Outlook Express and ACT, but not Notes. Has anyone tried this? Is there another software product out there that will enable this connection?
Hey Everyone.... Do me a favor and look at your battery and how it seems to lock into the charger? When you pull it out, I'm sure you've realized it seems like your prying out a nail from wood. Has anyone checked those locking holes on their phone and see the holes starting to chip away? I've done 2 charges only on my phone in 6 days and it looks like chipping started.
I have read a couple of comments about the lag time in making a call - that the phone is pretty slow in connecting. Is this common or do you think it depends on the area or maybe a software glitch? Thanks ...
