alert for voice scheduler not sounding...

I just got this phone over the weekend, and maybe I'm not doing something right. I'm still trying to learn all the featuers. I used the scheduling feature of my last phone a lot though, so this is a big deal to me.

I used the voice scheduler, and scheduled an appointment, set the time correctly, etc. According to the manual, the phone should alert me when the time comes up. I scheduled it to alert me "on time". But nothing happens. The time comes and goes and the phone doesn't make a sound. What am I doing wrong? Is there somewhere where I need to go to turn on the alert sounds or something? I've looked around, but geez, the menu's aren't easy to find things!

Thanks!

What did you figure out?

I got my LG VX-4500 in May, it worked fine for a couple of weeks, and then the schedule quit sounding the alarm. I expected that to wipe everything clean and start all over, but it did not. All it did was undo a few settings I had, like the list in place of icons, custom rings, backlight timeout, and so forth. All of my phone listings and speed dials remained, none of my messages were deleted, and everything else seemed to still be in tact. However, after doing the reset, the alarm began sounding on the schedule again. I was sort of alright with that fix, although I did...

Okay, I am back running again for the moment. Neither LG or Verizon technical support were any help at all. They both blame the other for the problem. But I got it working by deleting all of my scheduled items and starting over.

I am still looking for answers. Erase-all is not a vary appealing solution, and this has happened twice in two months. Any ideas what might be triggering this problem or some better way to correct it would be much appreciated.
