Motorola Droid

this forum has been kinda stagnent huh, wheres mupi been. i was afraid he was really that guy that flew his plane into the irs building, anyway everyone's still waitin for the flash and 32 gig card still? any info?

Does anyone know of an app or if at all possible to do voice texting.

I should clarify.. wouldn't it be nice to be able to, while driving, reply to, or send a txt via voice command.

I guess you would need a voice to text program that works with BT plus a way to integrate it with the txt messaging program.

I was wodering, if you use this in you car. If so, where do you put it? I am trying to figure where I would put it.

Has anyone seen this problem - I have 2 POP3 accounts set up as well as the gmail account. I get email notification for gmail without issue. I do not get notification for the POP3 accounts. It worked at various times since I got the phone about a month ago but recently I am not getting any notifications. I get the emails but I have to manually access the account. I have it set up to sync every 15 minutes and notifications and autosync are turned on.

first off gotta say I LOVE THIS APP.....couple questions tho....what is the difference in MMS and SMS? also is there away to have the default messaging app not tell you when a text comes in so i dont get TWO notifications (one from chompSMS and one from default) without having to uninstall the default app??? AND IF i DO uninstall the defaut if i absolutley have to will i be able to get the default one back?........keep in mind im an ERIS user...only reason i ask here is cuz it takes them FOREVER to reply over there....THX in ADVANCE...

I got a call from my girlfriend saying her voice command on her droids not working. I figured she was just doing something wrong. So I tried mine and its not working either. Its not recognizing any voice at all. Any one else having this problem? 😢

I installed Handcent on my Droid and the menu gives an option for Batch Mode. Can anyone explain what that is and what that does? Also, can I save y texts tom my SD card? if so, how do I do that? Thanks.

I have an iPhone with about 500 songs & several movies. Really like the Droid but not at the cost of losing all my music. Is there any way to transfer the songs & movies from an iPhone or iPod to the Droid? Thanks?

so i know everyone is dissastisfied with that really short charging cord, ya the one that came with the phone and the same short cord that came with my docking station.

so i thought i found a solution by just getting a a jumper usb cable, female to male and the phone said it was charging like it normally would and bingo bango the droid went dead, would motorola be so brash as to purposly cripple any attempt at making the cord longer? has anyone purchased a longer standard usb to micro usb and had it work properly? its just seems like the people that designed this phone and accesserios want us to be frustrated, even that bald guy from phonedog said the same thing

Based on reviews and Mupi's and Menno's comments on the forum I pulled the trigger last night and bought the Droid from www.verizonwireless.com.

I am hoping to get it on Friday and then I will leave my review this weekend!

I have two bluetooth headsets and a bluetooth speakerphone and I cannot get the navigation to play through them Does anyone have any suggestion on what to do or a model of bluetooth that does work with navigation?

sorry to make another thread but the other thread gogt me thinking, i bought my bluetooth soundblade for listening to music at the beach last summer and it worked great, it also doubles as a high end speaker phone you huys should think about investing in it i paid 70$ for it but wanna purchase another i now see them for 50 online

ummmmm really just trying to figure this out....what does seeting your AP do for you and what is it in general???? also mupi if you read this my phone shows two free public wifi networks available via the wifianalyzer you had me download wich is BOMB by the way...I LOVE IT.. anyways like say it says i have 2 free public wifi available but it says out of range so how close do you think i would have to be to the connection in order for my phone to be able to use that connection cuz it tells me there is 2 available but not in range...so im guessing it can pick up a signal further than it is capeable of connecting to correct?

Question for those who have switched to the Droid, how is your signal strength compared to what you switched from? So far I have not dropped any calls, but have concern because the phone has never gotten 4 bars that I can notice and is usually bouncing between 1 and 2 bars, esp at my home and office, where the bulk of my usage is.

I came from AT & T with a blackberry that always had 3 or 4 bars except for a couple of very specific weak zones, and I knew right where they were on my commute. So, I'm trying to figure out if this is a network difference or a Droid thing. Are there others that are averaging only 1 or 2 bars? Also, I noticed that it does pick up another bar usually if I hold it in landscape mode while typing, but it's the...

ive come to a desicion, im not going to post nothing but negative things anymore, instead im going to take one problem at a time and try and resolve it(which i still think is stupid cause i paid 200beans for this thing and my phonebill is 140 a month and it does nothing but frustrate me) but anyway ...my biggest problem is the wifi and bluetooth dropout,,yes i have many wireless devices,,xbox, phones, bluetooth,,etc)

I have until the end of this coming week to decide to return the Touch Pro 2 or return it.
I had the droid for 3 days and returned it in december, but then got a Touch Pro2 .
The DROID was light years faster in everything it did. Windows Mobile is so sllllooowww on this Touch Pro2 although the hardware is nice.

I cant decide... The droid keeps getting updates and firmware updates and seems to be getting better and better.

Should I keep my TP2 or go back to a Droid?
I welcome all your opinions.

MUPI.....ok so when im trying to do bluetooh with my buddies it doesent work for some reason.. 🤭 im sure its user error but pretty much when i pull my bluetooth menu up and i pair with my friend it says paired but not connected???? im sure im missing one final step to be able to transfer music/pic, stuff like that...if you could help that would be AWESOME THANKS
