Where are my friggin THEMES???

Ok, am I just not seeing them or do I have to download them, cause I'm not seeing any themes on my phone except the ATT logo that came with it. The demo in the store had a beutiful background on it. Are there none already stored on the phone??

Disappointed...

Well, I visited my local store today to go in and get the Bold which I have anxiously been waiting for since it was first mentioned on Blackberry.com. The $299 price, I felt was little steep, but I was willing to pay as I am an avid blackberry fan. I have upgraded many times on my plan a few months before my actual renewal date. The in store rep would usually just wave off the few months I had left and upgrade me. So, same scenario, I head into ATT to get my phone.
Strike One- The phone is $399 with a mail in rebate not $299-even though a rep in store told me on the phone to bring $299 plus tax to get my phone.
Strike Two- I'm told ATT has nixed the ability for reps to sell phones at discounted price prior to upgrade date.
Strike Th...

Can movies be transferred to BOLD? I have iPhone and I convert my DVD's to view on iPhone. If so, what is the file format to watch movies on it?

Stay Away From ATT 3G Network

3G in the US and att is nothing but trouble. Thats why Im not going to get the Bold. ATT towers cant handle all these 3g phones. It cant even handle the iphone alone.

Thats why Im waiting for the Javelin aka Curve 8900. below is a great review with lots of pics.

Escalating Alarm Problem

For anyone else out there that uses the Escalating option (AT&T Tune) on the Alarm Clock, does yours go from barely audible to barely low? I like the escalating option to wake up to rather than the punch-in-the-face option of higher volumes, but the Bold escalating can barely be heard. Worked fine on my Pearl 8120. Just wanted to make sure that it wasn't just mine (most likely not).

Bold V.S. Iphone 3g

I currently have an iphone 3g but I was thinking about switching to the blackberry bold. I've always used blackberries in the past but I wasn't sure if I should make the switch or not. Thanks for any advice

pepsijunky

I read your review of the Bold, it stated that this phone has a 3.2 MP camera. The specs state only 2 MP

Which one is correct? If it has a 3.2 MP camera, I will strongly consider getting.

Thanks! ๐Ÿ˜

Using Blackberry to Access My Desktop

I purchased the Blackberry Bold so that I could access my desktop. The Curve was just fine for retrieving & sending email, but I wanted the Bold to act as a laptop when I am away from my office. I thought I could go to the web and type http://remote.companyname.com and I would be in my computer. Now I find out that I can't do that. Is there 3rd party software to do this? Is the rep wrong? Let me know.

dont knock it till you try it!

i went to a data lit class thismorning for work (at&t) the phone we studied was the bold. every application i tested ran smoothly. the phone is amaizing. i have used 5 different blackberry models and this is by far the best yet! as for 3g issues, it is an issue on a phone by phone basis. i sell them. i see it all day long. some manufacturers do not make a swift 3g capable phone. but anywho, try the bold before you bi!#h about it!

Bold Release Date (finally!)

We just received an email today stating that the Bold will be available for order on Oct. 15th, meaning we'll have it in stores the following Monday.

Thank god, I thought it would never come out!

I saw one at my local Best Buy!

So...Best Buy now gets phones before COR stores do? I saw the same thing happen with the HTC Touch Pro and Sprint.

In short, if you are wanting one check out Best Buy

Blackberry Bold OS

Looks like the OS for the Bold on AT&T is going to be version 4.6.0.298 (I am assuming that is what is on the Nov 4, shipping version). It is posted at:
https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads/browseSoftware.do »
Can anyone tell me the version on the Rogers Bold? I heard early versions of the OS had a battery problem (short life) and it was fixed in a later version.

That's a lot.....

...of $$. 399 - 100 MIR 299 then you have to buy a SD card 8G $50-60 or 16G about $100.

Does a SD card come w/ the Bold?

Will the price drop by black Friday or on 12/4?
