The storm isnt even out yet, so I would wait till the phone is released and you can get some solid reviews.

And the bold and storm are on diff carriers, so depending on how you are with now, that could sway your decision.

The Bold has a traditional style BB trackball and physical keyboard input.
The Storm is a touch screen style interface.

Their capabilities as smartphones will be roughly the same. The Bold and the Storm are Blackberry's top phones for now.

Choice is more which carrier you have or like and if you like touch screen phones or ones that have physical buttons.

at&t has better service. i.e. rolover, early nights and weekends, 17 month upgrade. company discounts are better than verizon and faster 3g network.

at&t may have sucked for you, will i am. But at&t has been fine for me and im sure millions of others. Verizon did not work out for me. The service was good, but the customer service was god-awful, but that is in my case. At&t has been fine for me for just about 6 years.

that's all

I have had Vzw and At&t. In my hometown, Vzw has better coverage than At&t. Generally, company discounts is based on the size of the company. My current company is with At&t and the discount is not as large as it was with my previous company(that company used Vzw).

wow...drink the Kool-Aid much

Better service? I know verizon has won both customer service awards and network service awards. Last time I checked att was finishing last in several network tests done by consumer reports.

17 month upgrade? I've never heard of this one, but verizon does offer upgrades every 12 months if your account is higher than $50 a month.

Discounts? Verizon has discounts ranging from 14%-22% from what i've seen, this is very comparable to just about anyone in the industry.

3G Network? This one is just completely laughable. No way on god's green earth is Att's 3G faster than verizons. NEVER.

I'll give att one advantage, they have the bold! lol

More available, yes. Faster, no. Well depends on the market. HSDPA is superior to EVDO-A. How much in all reality? Probably not much. I would say a AT&T with a newly installed HSDPA area is faster but not to the point that its overwhelming.

Vzw just acquired Alltel so you will eventually have access to the storm (no estimated time frame). The best thing to do is to take advantage of the trial period as it will allow you to see who has better coverage in the places/areas that you visit frequently.

This is odd, was talking to a buddy why has VZW, and he did research the Storm, he wants the Bold, mainly because of the KB. Myself, I think these are both excellent devices, go with either which carrier you have (don't think its worth switching) or which you feel would best suits your needs. While I do own The Bold, I just might have wanted The Storm, again depends on the use. Both (outside of touchscreen) or far more similar then they are different.
