LG Dare VX-9700

If i scroll to the bottom of my inbox when there are more than 200 messages it resets.

A friend is also having the same problem

How common is this issue and is there or will there be an update to fix it

yea im having an issue with my dare. everytime i got a push the display setting icon the phone powers off, so i cant change my display settings at all. and on the front screen the time doesnt even show anymore. i've powered the phone off and removed the battery but it doesnt help. Any one have an suggestions??

does the Dare still have that lousy Vzw overlay for contacts that doesn't allow for notes on a contact, like address, spouse, blah, blah, blah.?

I have had my Dare for quite some time now and noticed after having the volume at full blast on one song for about 5 seconds the speaker sounded like crap. I turned it down and at the setting right before the very loudest it sounds perfect, BUT, it makes a weird, annoying ticking/vibrating sound when on vibrate only. The nosie is coming directly from the speaker area and it is very loud.
It sounds almost like a clicking sound that happens as it vibrates. Anyone else have this problem? Think it has to do with the speaker? It is not blown and only sounds like crap when it is on vibrate only.

Recently I posted that I was having an issue where the screen would go completely white (Illuminated) and the phone would lock. - After someone's suggestion of getting a software upgrade, the phone still continued to act up the same way. - When I went back to verizon, they actually gave me a brand new in box phone. (Not one of these reconditioned jobs that you keep your battery and accsesories
etc. Even with the new phone the problem managed to continue. - Once again they upgraded the software from V3 - to V5 and told me that it was my MicroSd card causing the issue because it was corrupted. - Is this possible? - Has anyone heard of such a thing?

The other day i had to call a support line for a product i was having issues with.

While waiting on hold, the screen keeps shutting off.............once the support person answers, you have to unlock the phone to talk........kind of annoying?

Any way to make the phone screen stay on indefinitely until i decide to turn it off?

The phone has started to do this weird thing.. If the phone is just sitting idle on a table etc. I come back to it to find the screen is illuminated white (Blank) & a little red lock icon is up at the top of the screen. The only way to clear the screen & see your desktop is to hit 1 of the physical buttons on the phone.

My concern, is that this just started happening, and it doesn't happen all the time??

I am totally confused!! - I have called LG twice, and one rep. told me it's completely normal and the second rep. said it sounds weird or something is wrong. - Do you think this can be fixed with a software upgrade? - This phone was my friends, and she gave it to me bc she no longer has verizon. So the phone is working off a Ver 🙄...

I'm considering new phones and one of the things I like best about my current phone is that I can make my own mp3 ringtones on my computer and condense pictures to an acceptable size, save them on my TransFlash card for my phone, then save them to my phone to be used as Individual Contact Pictures and Individual Contact Ringtones. (I have to text the music files to myself then save them from the Sent message currently) Can I get the same result from this phone? Either by the same method or a different/easier way?

Hi everyone, I had an LG Dare when they first were released, but ended up missing my BB Curve too much and exchanged.

I cannot remember if I you can bluetooth calendar and address book entries from MS Outlook to the Dare.

Does anyone know if you can?

Does anybody know how many days verizon gives you to refund or exchange a phone once you bought it?????

yes i need help. im doing an upgrade in about a week and i've been wanting the dare for awhile. But i also saw preview of the Storm, and it looks cool. So i really dont know which to get. I know the Storm isnt out yet but should i wait or just go ahead and get the dare??? Thanks/// WAR EAGLE!!!!!

I am surprised that we can't use the monthly calendar as a backdrop on the DARE. I used this on my old A670, and it is very handy for me.

Anyone know how I could just use the Charging screen one as a wallpaper, or is there an SWF file that would do it (and had some cool graphics added) ???

Does anyone know when they plan on adding more applications for the Dare to use? I am waiting to get one until they offer a little bit more. I need a weather program for my job (I use accu-weather right now on my VX-9900 and love it!). As of today, there are only 9 apps available.

I'm wondering why the calculator doesn't have a C or CE. The reset erases the entire string which is annoying when you just want to erase one number.

I know this may sound foolish and don't laugh at me, but how in the heck do you zoom with the camera? When I use the video recorder, I can zoom with the volume button in or out but when I want to take a pic and zoom in I use the volume button I get nothing. I've read the "VAGUE" owners manual and I really didn't get anything from it either. Maybe I'm overlooking it all together but I think I'd have a faster response from the pro's on here versus trying to get it from the manual. Help me out here. And please, be gentle. LOL.

just wondering if i was able to downgrade my phone... love the dare and all but I'm tired of it. had the phone for over two months so i was wondering if i call my phone in and say something is wrong with it, if i can ask them to give me a different phone like the voyager or env2 or maybe even the chocolate 3......
