Does anyone know when they plan on adding more applications for the Dare to use? I am waiting to get one until they offer a little bit more. I need a weather program for my job (I use accu-weather right now on my VX-9900 and love it!). As of today, there are only 9 apps available.

I had the enV right before I got the Dare... how did you use accu-weather on it? is it an app? or a web site accessed on the phone? either way I'm interested!

It is an app, and it works great. Go to Get It Now on your phone, and hit button 5 - tools on the go, then 1 - get new app. It was under weather...but I got it about a year ago and don't see it there now, so maybe they do not offer it anymore?

Ive had the Dare for about a month now and still waiting for accuweather app!!! I've been using weather bug through the browser and it sucks! I'm not sure if they will ever have it? It could be a deal breaker for me! I am actually considering returning the Dare because of this...maybe grab the voyager? 😡

while I do like cool graphical apps that show off the Dare, simple text does the trick.

I simply do a google search (txt to GOOGL or 46645), type "weather 90210", and seconds later I receive a txt msg stating current temp, wind, humidity, plus outlook for the rest of the week.

My life is much better and easier with the "google text". it's totally free, just like using google on a computer, and all it uses is 2 txt msgs (one sent, one rcvd). I remember one time I was Atlantic City, NJ and was craving Taco Bell. I didn't even know IF one existed there, but I was willing to bet so. I txt'd "Taco Bell Atlantic City NJ" and maybe 4 seconds later I rcvd a txt stating the street address and phone# of the closest TWO locations! I use this...

That Google app sounds great but if you opted for the VZ Navigator, then you'd get pretty much the same thing. I ran the app and went to search, then put in gasoline. In seconds, it gave me a pretty nice sized list of stations in the GPS area along with which one had the lowest gas prices. Sweet!!! But I'm gonna try the Google app today.

Well, I couldn't wait any longer and finally bought the DARE. It's really cool but a little tough to get used to not having a keyboard like the EnV did, this one is all touch. The DARE still doesn't have many apps, but I saved a weather page as my home page from Accu-Weather until they do get them.
