Re: Address book (multiple numbers per name)

In order to use one name for all of that person's numbers you must: Make sure all entries are exactly the same(not John Home, John cell, John work. Just John) Then, while in the phone book, press the menu button, scroll up to setup, view and choose Primary Contacts. Also on all bt moto's I know of, when you connect a bt headset, the ringer style switches to loud. If your loud settings are not the same as your others, you will get different ringer tones. After you connect bt headset, you can switch back to the ringer style of you choice if you like. Note: Nokia phones do allow the actual ringtones to go to bt headset, not some silly default ringer. Hopefully moto will fix this in the future.

Re: Wireless connection from laptop -> phone -> EDGE (Internet)

I do it all the time with a T616. It is quite easy, actually, at least with Cingular. I am sure there are great how-to's available online, here is a quick and dirty one. For those complaining about the same old, please don't read further, it *is* that tired thing again. Assumptions: You have BlueTooth installed in your notebook, and (duh) a BT phone. -Pair your phone. -On Bluetooth Neighborhood, discover, the device, then discover available services. -One of the services the laptop will find is Dial-Up Networking. Right-click on the icon, then hit "Connect" on the context menu. -If all is well, you will get the same DUN we used to see in the modem days. Fill in with User:ispda@cingulargprs.com Password:CINGUL AR1 Number:*99***1# -Hit the Dial button. Note: Sometimes is really is this simple. I hear you might have to play a little with the number to dial, though. The last character before the pound may not be the "one" as shown above, sometimes its is 2, or 3. Hope this helps.

MPT stands for Mobile Phone Tools. The VZW data kits sucks.... goto motorola.com and under phone accessories you will find info regarding MPT. NOTE: you cannot sync via Bluetooth with the current firmware. VZW is testing a new beta that will allow BT sync'ing, but disable files transfers.

Oh, ok! Thanks! Note to all: If you want to know when T-Mobile is going to start working on the voicemail system in your area you should get a text message or a voicemail saying that they are about to start working on your area. A T-Mobile rep said that when I asked her if she knew when the might start working in the NYC area. She also said that if you get a voicemail during that period while they are working on the system, that for the following 30 days after the finished the work, you should be able to hear your voicemail message on the old system by press "00" once you are in the voicemail.
