Verizon does NOT support file xfer via tf card
I contacted Verizon about rumors that they have broken the tf card as well as the bluetooth. Here is there response in its entirety:
Hello David,
Thank you for contacting the Verizon Wireless website. As part of our Worry Free Guarantee, your concern becomes our concern the first time you contact us. We are happy to assist you with your picture transfer question.
Officially, Verizon Wireless does not support transferring pictures and ringtones via the TransFlash card. However, transferring pictures and ringtones via the TransFlash card may work.
Verizon Wireless currently supports the following functions on the Motorola V710:
- Wireless headsets
- Wireless car kits (voice calls only, no syncing contacts)
- Dial-Up networking
Contact syncing, file sharing and any other Bluetooth functions outside of the ones listed above are not currently available on the v710. File transfer abilities have not been enabled, as we are still testing the security of these connections to ensure that your data and our network are safe. We have not yet reached a decision regarding whether or not we will enable file sharing functionality. We understand that this is frustrating, and we apologize for any inconvenience.
If you would like to receive e-mail updates regarding new products and services, please click on "E-mail Updates" from the "Support" tab located at the top of our www.verizonwireless.com homepage.
If you are having problems with any of the supported Motorola V710 functions, please contact Motorola as they provide support for TransFlash card functionality. They can be reached at 1-800-331-6456.
If you have further questions or concerns, please write to us again through www.VerizonWireless.com. We appreciate your business and thank you for choosing Verizon Wireless.
Sincerely,
Erik

*sigh*
That *is* going to piss me off.
I want to be able to have my own ringtones. Not clips of commercial songs, but *my* ringtones. I don't *want* the Lord of the Rings theme as a ringtone. It's a really dumb "revenue hole" to close -- most people aren't going to want to bother with ripping an MP3 of a song, clipping out the good bit, and using that for a ringtone.
Removing features via a flash is always a *bad* idea. Remember, the v710 never *had* OBEX, so there's only so much sympathy you can draw.....
*sigh* Hopefully it's something that can be fixed via a FLEX hack. :/

Don't think there is a way to search them and go straight to a particular note..only by scrolling..it might help if you give each one a title so in your scrolling you can easily identify each one..
