Samsung SCH-A670
Unable to access Get-it-Now
Not that I intend to use it that much, but it's annoying anyway...
The outside screen on my A670 went dead the other day for no apparent reason. I took it into the Verizon Wireless store last night and they very kindly exchanged it for me. Now when I try to access Get-it-Now, I get the message "Unable to retrieve catalog. Please try again later. (2😎". If I access the Get-it-Now setup (Menu 4, 0, Lock code) the Brew Server Primary and Secondary URLs are blank. I compared this to my wife's phone (also an a670) and she has the URLs apps.myvzw.com, and apps2.myvzw.com. There's no apparent way to change them though.
As a side note, while I was in the store last night, another gentleman came in with the same problem. He said that VZW...

i had the same problem with my kyocera phone. all you have to do is call #611 and then tell the verizon people about that message and the'll fix it for you. chloe

Mine does it now, #611 couldn't fix it, they told me to take it to the store. Haven't yet.

same here, mine hasent worked for like 6 months. havent been worried about it at all, then i finally sat down and called 611, but was told to take it to the store too. havent had time in my busy life, but when i do go i know ill stand it line for 2 hours....but ah well

I took it in, they didn't even look at it, just replaced it with a new phone, GIN works on the new phone.
Second replacement in 4 months. Very nice.
I woldn't care, but I know they are releasing a nice little astronomy program later this month, and will need it.

I just check with S&T and they said they were done porting it over, and had passed QC, and they thought it would be available at Verizon in 2-3 weeks. I will posted here when it is.

The astronomy program shows up on the webpage now, I don't know if it is on the phon emenu, nor have I tried to install it yet.
