Re: Anyone hate working for AT&T as much as I do?
I bought my Bold at BB and I was not forced by them to add the data package. I bought it in March. I went home and I added the data package myself.
Now, why would you buy the Bold and not use the data/email that it offers is beyond me....
NOTE: My last bill statement had a paragraph on the very first page that says that if you have a smartphone without a data package AT&T has the right to add it on to your plan. Are they really doing this? I don't know, but it's right on your bill... Anyone else noticed this?

Re: without being mean
The reason he said what he did was because of others (read some other threads) resorting to name calling when he said something simple like "Smartphone's are built for data."
And you're right, while most of us live in the US, and in the US we are allowed to express our opinions, this is a privately managed forum, so our only "rights" are what the owners give to us. Arguing free speech is only valid when you are talking about a public area/forum, not privately owned areas.
As a side note... comparing statements made about cell phones to the concept of free speech is rather silly.

I'd rather use Wi-Fi
We have a BlackBerry with no data plan. We use Wi-Fi.
And yes, this does make sense for our situation. The main thing we need a BlackBerry for is a medical app that stores its data locally. It can update via Wi-Fi as needed.
Note to AT&T: you're not the only Internet provider. And no, you don't have to subsidize my phone. I'm happy to buy it up front. Just let me buy the plan I want.

Re: SERO Plan Phone Upgrade Questions
I was just being nice.
He was talking about an old plan - it states right in the document:
"Note: SERO rate plans are NOT compatible with the Samsung Instinct or the Palm Pre. If you have one of these devices, the best plan options are
the Everything Plus Data rate plans."
I wrote what I found about the sero plan and it was my opinion as stated. So I don't see a problem with that or a need to be rude. Also, I don't know what KMS is nor do I have access to it. I can access iconnect and that is where I found my information in the SERO plan documents.
