Re: Transfer video to the dare?
You may be having problems with Mac produced files which have certain embedded Meta Data that devices based on PC software do not know how to handle.
I suspect you have a Mac computer. If you do, try this:
1. Download the free MPEG Stream Clip from www.squared5.com and convert your files with the MPEG converter. Use the Apple version of the MPEG conversion (the non Apple version results in stuttering video).
2. Download KopyMac to delete the Meta Data causing the problem. It is also free.
The result should eliminate the "Ghost" duplication of the file designation (the ghost one is proceeded by ._) and provide better video operation.
Note that the process is reasonably fast and not as daunting as it may sound.
Good luck.
Re: Put music on phone for free
Keep in mind that Music files are also subject to the idiosyncrasy I mentioned in another reply (see below-music from a Mac computer has this problem also):

No I dont think you have to say anything about Tmo, people just know they're crap! HAHAHAHAHA
I love my Curve and I have never had a problem with Att's service. Ya thats right I said it. I HAVE ATT SERVICE!!! So what, wanna fight about it? lol
Seriously though, I know that not every company is perfect and I can say some bad things about Att as well but you can say bads thing about every company. Ive said it before and Im sure Ill say it again, different carriers work better is different places. Ive seen areas where Att just dominates and others where Tmo is best or Sprint. It just depends on where you live. Hopefully with TV switching to digital that will free up some spectrum for all the carriers to expand thier network and offer better and more reliable services. We'll just have to wait and see what the CEOs and presidents decide to do with said spectrum.
Side note...
Ive watched a lot of videos and read a lot of press releases and that Pre looks like it can out Iphone the Iphone. That thing is the PERFECT blend of form and fucntion. I cant wait to get my hands on one and try it out for myself. Basicly for me, it will come down to cost. Which ever one (Touch 2 or Pre) is cheaper, is problably going to be the one I get. Pending any unemployment that I might come up against.

Re: I wonder....
I wonder if they will sell Detachble Keyboards seperatly too?
They can turn this into a marketing chance. They can make different size, shape and color Kayboards.
So your daughter isnt going to just want to replace her lost keyboard....she is going to want the Upgraded Keyboard that lights up the number keys and comes in Red, Green or Blue.
Note: You can also then, do the same with the Screen. I mean, once detached, its possible to lose either end.
Re: PHONE NUMBER
you CAN port your number to boostmobile.
forget sprint/nextel! just call boosmobile directly and tell them you want to "Migrate" you sprint/nextel number to boostmobile.
note that is NOT a "port" because it's the same provider
IF you want to go from CDMA Sprint to iDEN Boostmobile do as suggested by some - port to a prepaid and THEN port to Boost.
I have listed below the porting scenarios that Boost support from the Sprint side of the business as I have received many questions regarding this. Please remember that porting from other carriers is supported and is business as usual. Hopefully this will clear up some of the confusion.
Porting scenarios that we support:
• Sprint CDMA to Boost CDMA
• Sprint IDEN to Boost IDEN (that means Nextel user can keep their number...)
• Sprint IDEN to Boost CDMA
• Boost IDEN to Boost CDMA
We do NOT support:
• Sprint CDMA to Boost IDEN
• Boost CDMA to Boost IDEN
Re: Very Aggressive!
On the phone now with my rep....yeah, with Tmo, you can refer and start recieving after your 45th day of service.
*note: you can refer before your 45days but wont see the credit till the 45th day of your contract and/or the 45th day of the person you refered.

That is pretty cool. I don't work for any carrier so I don't know exactly what Sprint's rules are on their regular promotion. But I certainly can understand the rules for this one.
