I have a tivo and I attempted to transfer a tv show via bluetooth to the dare, but it said unsupported file format....the file says megp4 and it's .mp4 on the actual file.

I was just wondering what format the Dare would support?

Thanks

it supports .mp4, it just might have not wanted to transfer such a large file through bluetooth. i have like 4 or 5 dvds on my 4gig card and they are all .mp4 and they all work fine. try just using the cable or a card reader/mem card.

hope this helps

I just use the USB cord, plug it to my PC and use USB mass storage feature to copy my videos to the DARE.

You can transfer ANYTHING YOU WANT to the memory card with USB Mass Storage mode. All it does is turn your phone into a $499 memory card reader.

Well I was able to get videos to work with MP4, but the dare does not seem to like them. When I hit videos it is very slow and it also copies the video files twice. One video is watchable and the other is not...wierd

I usually convert my videos to 3GP (or is 3GPP...ugh, too early, lol). I've had no issues in that video format.

You may be having problems with Mac produced files which have certain embedded Meta Data that devices based on PC software do not know how to handle.

I suspect you have a Mac computer. If you do, try this:
1. Download the free MPEG Stream Clip from www.squared5.com and convert your files with the MPEG converter. Use the Apple version of the MPEG conversion (the non Apple version results in stuttering video).
2. Download KopyMac to delete the Meta Data causing the problem. It is also free.
The result should eliminate the "Ghost" duplication of the file designation (the ghost one is proceeded by ._) and provide better video operation.

Note that the process is reasonably fast and not as daunting as it may sound.

Good luck.
