Note to Customers regarding Roadside
Just to clarify for those customers reading through the forums, Roadside is still eligible for adding on until May 18. After this, you can no longer add it on, but if on your account already, there is no immediate plan to remove it so you may continue to use the service.
I know I will!

Re: Gif files- Small photos with movement
To get a GIF file on your phone is the same as how you would get a JPG on your phone or any picture at all.
You can either use a USB cable and bitpim to load it on, OR use a miniSD card.
Assuming your miniSD card is already formatted with your vx9800. The miniSD card is the most recommended way, just pop the miniSD card in a card reader, load it up on your computer, copy the animated GIF to MY_PIX folder and then pop the card into your phone and vola. it should be there and show up.
*note: animated GIFs do not display with correct timing if the backlight on the VX9800 is off. just something i noticed.

Re: Nice, but....
I cannot speak for VZW, I work for Sprint and I am a Treo carrier myself. The problem you have is because there are not separate antennas for data and voice. Therefore, when you are browsing the internet calls cannot come through. Thats the same on Treos RAZRs or whatever phone you choose. Now, if you are on the internet, and the browser is not actively pulling or pushing data you can receive a call. For instance... you pull up ESPN and are reading an article... the page finishes pulling up and you are just reading the information on the screen; you will at that point be able to answer an incoming call. I hope that answers your question. One more point to note... carriers have looked at the option of placing two antennas in the phone to remedy this, but have not done so as of yet. You will see it in the future, and most likely see it on future technologies such as EVDO rev B, or even whatever 4G technology comes.

Re: I'm sorry. it's stolen.
I love being a tech. As soon as my drawer's done, fru's counted and phones plugged in, there could be an HOUR of customers left (or in one case 1:45 after closing) I grab my stuff and go.
note: VZW Techs are subcontracted. We're under no obligation to stay after hours whatsoever. we do, for the most part If there's tech (obvious), or accessories/data to grab but for the better part we'll wait for the reps to unlock the door and book it.
ACTUAL NEWS!!!
verizon put the 930 on the equipment guide page internally for employee's. release date is listed as june 1st but as always that's tentative. price is listed as 149.99 with 2yrct, 199.99 with 1yrct, and 269.99 full retail. no work on mail in rebates. it will have vz navigator thought i'm not sure it will be available at initial launch. the only other interesting things in the launch material are the mention of bluetooth dun and serial port being enabled. this is direct from verizon not samsung so i tent to believe it. keep in mind that pricing and release date are subject to change and i have even seen feature listed incorrectly in launch packages but this is as close to accurate as anyone can give you. hope this answers some questions for people.
cheers!
side-note. the 8300 was also announced although the release date is listed as "dependent on the sell thru of the lg vx8100" i'd list it's features on the 8300 page but there isn't one yet. wow, the 8300 just appeared on the "latest phones" while i was typing this so i'll post over there.
cheers again!
