I have heard good things about this phone. Bluetooth,MP3,Video..etc
I was not impressed with the 1st slider.
I had the KOI swivel phone for about 8 months and loved it. Though it took getting used to.
Anyone see the switchback texting phone?
What are your thoughts.

Personally I can't wait for the release of the Remix. I will be switching providers to get the phone & service. The switchback seems excellent and will be a nice addition to the USCC line-up. If you want something with a more computer feel i would wait for the switchback.

Right now I am testing the Switchback/Strobe.
This phone is really nice.
It has BLUETOOTH!!
Its perfect if you text or go on EE alot.
Does not have mp3 though..........
Or Video...
Camera is very nice though and the over feel of this phone is great.
The buttons could be a little bit bigger but for a flip/text phone there is really no way of getting around that.

So is this going to be a talktracker kind of thing? The specs on it suggest it might be, but since USCC doesn't support picture messaging on TT it didn't make sense!

Sorry, I meant to change the subject line. Last post meant to be about the Strobe.

you work for radio shack and you still sell us cellular?
...
I own a dealership in a very small town where no other carrier can sell, well, besides Alltel. Alltel is pretty recent and we have been USCC for almost 8 years.

thats cool, the radioshack out here used to sell us cellular until the cingular thing.
...
As a dealer, we don't have to do anything but buy a certain amount of stock from RadioShack. And pay our bills. We don't have many choices on carriers around here, we are very rural. USCC pays more of our bills than RadioShack does.
...
thats good, us cellular has harsh rules against selling other carriers involving commission so the radio shacks out here always sold other companies before us cellular, mostly because radio shack got more commission on a sprint because of those rules.
...
They wanted us to sell Sprint, Verizon and two others that I can't remember. We would have only gotten $25 in commission on each sale. We told them no way. Besides the fact that we are not in either company's contracting area, USCC blew them away in commissions. So we are happy and RadioShack is in dire straights, who made the better business decisions.

Just got a call from our RS rep. He sent us a display to sell like 6 different pre paid cards. We sent them back to him unopened with a note taped explaining how that would affect our commissions with USCC, and asking him not to send anything else wireless without clearing it with us first. He's all huffy and asked for my AE's number so he can "explain" things to her and to us. I wonder if he will pay to have the RS signs removed from our building!!!!!!

one of the us cellular agents opened up a sprint dealership under another business name here... when us cellular stopped dealing with him because he had operated for 2 years without a business liscense and probably the only thing us cellular cared about, he stopped paying for his phones (so he got well over 10,000 worth of phones for free) he just changed everything in his stores and kiosks to his sprint stuff and removed the temporary carts from the mall, and was none the worse for wear.

It's not real likely that we would ever change. Unless, of course, if USCC was merged or assimilated into another company. We are very loyal to USCC. They have almost always stepped up to every situation we have asked them to help us resolve. USCC has been very good to us and is supporting 2 1/2 families in this business, which is more than I can say for the other business that is part of our store.
