ive been trying to keep up on any new info thru phonescoop, sprintusers, google, customer service, retention, etc. its just like some phreakin well kept secret to me. has anyone heard anything new or definate on what updates the phone will have and when it will be released? ive heard July, August and September. hoping they will fix the battery life issue (that really isnt that huge), signal strength problem (my a800 gets better than the a900), a TF slot and hopefully will use the standard barrel charger that sprint was going to. i guess time will tell

I work in the mall, but not for a cell company. However, T-mobile is right outside my store, so I chat with them often about upcoming things. I'm switching over to them from Cingular soon for 3 reasons: 1 - my fiance and I are getting on a family plan, 2 - they have superior internet packages and 3 - the new Blackberry 8100, which sealed the deal. The rep had just gotten it yesterday, and she was playing around with it when I walked up, so she let me test drive it.

I'll tell you well as i go through all of the bits and pieces of verizons information systems day in and day out i find that when i check inventory status and the device lists i often find information before its available to the general public usually its just a model number sometimes its a photo sometimes its just a hint of a device like a motorola esn and the title of the device being test device not very informative but if your an lg fan can i recoment holding out for a few weeks maybe a month or 2 because the lg9...

Has anyone out there heard of the release of the ACE for Mobile ESPN. Its the Samsung A900 but retro-fitted in ESPN colors, so black and red and has the ESPN software.

So whos got the dirt? Is sprint changing their name? Or is this just for land lines

Phonescoop posted in the News section that the FCC approved the Samsung T-629 among other Samsung phones, heard that the release date is August 31st but unsure if that's true...........Also on Samsung's site some drop down menus show the phone but when clicked on leads to nothing........

The Blackberry rep in our market notified us that the PTT software upgrade that RIM has been working on for Cingular is now complete and awaiting approval from Cingular. The upgrade will be availible through the BB browser, similar to the way you download themes, games, images, and BB messenger. But this will be what really puts a charge into Cingular's PTT push.

I went to my local Sprint retail store last week to purchase a new Samsung A900 (I currently have an old Samsung SPH680 that is just dying to be replaced...)

The guy at the store told me that the new version of the A900, the A900M (or is it P?) is coming out in a month (August).
Searching this forum, I couldn't find any info on this new phone.

Does anyone have any additional info, such as features or tentative launch date?

It's on Verizon's website. Interesting thing is when you click on it, the screen on the phone reads "August 16, 12:45". Very new to all this but is that any correlation to the release date. I noticed before a post that people thought the release date would be in october because the picture of the phone said "October 7".

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
