Here's all the information to questions and concerns regarding Embarq(head to URL below), one of the Sprint Nextel Inc. spin offs, headed by Dan Hesse who was once the CEO of AT&T Wireless before he bolted for a company called Terra Beam. Embarq is also an MNVO using the Sprint CDMA network and currently only sell LG & UTStarcom handsets.

It's the Sprint spin-off taking over the local/LD landline operation. They're also an MVNO of SPCS and have a craptacular (four) selection of handsets. Rumor has it, customers w/ combined billing of SPCS and now Embarq will have to migrate to the new MVNO whence their 2yr is up. I think the MVNO (Embarq) has maybe 17 or 18 subscribers so far? It has only been a month and a half or so... They seem to have it licked, though. Their stock was up around $40/share, SPCS was at about half that... Hence, the cry-babying about SPCS' stock being undervalued...
