Ah Christ, I've been here less than an hour and I already want to beat somebody into a pulp. On that note, I took my Yellow Belt test on Saturday and passed... I only got a dozen new bruises... and there was the guy who didn't realize it was my first freaking test and slammed me to the ground hard enough to knock the wind out of me. My instructor was there almost before I hit the mat and grabbed the shoulder of my Gi and hauled me up sitting to try and get me breathing again. He must have seen it start. I also got clubbed in the head and saw stars, that was fun. It's a good thing tonight is Grappling night, I can throttle somebody and not even get in trouble for it.

Where is the promotions this year? I'm all for supporting the company you work for, but there are no good promotions this year. WooHoo they added a national plan, big deal. They raised the phones pricing and messed with the rebates. All this is doing, is ticking people off and making them go somewhere else.

I wanna know what everyone else thinks about this?

Okay, I'm currently the manager of an indirect company for verizon. I've been leaving "room for advancement" open for myself, and recently, I've heard about a local T-mobil call center in my area. Apparently, they are doing some massive hiring. I'm just curious what is's like on the other side, and if I would like it. Any information about working in a call center would be very helpful!!!

am i the only one who gets people in who want the buy one get one but think they can keep the 2nd as a spare then when i tell them they can only get it if they open a 2nd line they want to know why? I just got done going back and forth with a lady for 15 min i even showed her that it say it on the add she had in her hand. 😳

why is it that when you work for a corp store you have a quota to hit and if you dont hit quota you dont get paid commission but if you work for one of there agents you get paid on everything that you do with no quota, it doesnt seem fair.

On Sundays, since FDT support and customer service are closed - how do you get a tentative ban number for a customer?

I've had this problem in the past where a customer has previously ran his/her credit elsewhere and when they come here to activate, I find out they have a tentative ban. I always have to tell them to take the phone with them (they pay me, of course) and then I have to wait until Monday to activate.

Anyone else have this problem or is there an open dept out there that I'm not aware of?

I'm working at an indirect agent for verizon and im a former AT&T customer...My contract is up as of tomorrow and of course I'm gonna switch to verizon...I currently have the Nokia 6620 and I love it and I'm wondering what is comparable to that as far as verizon phones...Any input would help as to which phone i should purchase! I love this. I had a customer sneak in lastnight as I was trying to close up. She was maybe 75 or 80, apparently her and one of her old lady friends were out X-mas shopping. The older one of the pair has decided that she wants a cell phone. Great! Wonderful! BUT- she has no clue what she wants. I spent about 45 minutes explaining EVERYTHING to this lady. She finally decideds that she better think about it and come back. As she's leaving, she stops, turs around and asks me how to get the "Film" out of the camera phones and where she can develope the pictures. I love it.....

It is the holiday season and this place is dead wtf is wrong with people this year? Normally everyone is boxing in Wal-Mart over some Elmo doll or a Furbie. I miss that action.

I was just reading the home page news and saw that Dobson bought the Cellular One name from Alltel for $1.3 Million. Damn!! That is a crap load of money for just a name.

If you had a name that someone else used and you wanted to buy that name how much would it be worth to you?

how can you call in to specifically ask for a fax number and not have a pen or paper anywhere nearby???? It went like this:

Sub: Hey, yeah, I was calling in because I needed the fax number to send in my documentation.

[verify acct. info for security reasons]

Me: Ok sir. The fax number is 86...

Sub: Wait, wait. Lemme get a pen.

Me: certainly sir. (a pen??? WTF? you've had all damn day to get ready for this. You went through all the IVRs and the menus and the hold time and you finally made it to where you wanted to be, but you don't have a pen or paper????)

It took 2-3 minutes for dude to finally get back to me with a pen & paper. jeeeez

So this customer calls in has a family plan with 3 lines under contract and he wants us to cancel the service waive the ETF's because he was in Best Buy in someplace other than his home area and they of course offered him the Razor for $69. He of course thinks we will do this since he will still be with us with a new account, unfortunately the rep that was handling the call thought that was possible and transffered him to our cancellation team so they could process the order. Who's more of an idiot I wonder?

Yesterday I ran a credit check for 19 year old gal, she got approved for 5 lines. she wanted 2 blackberrys that costed around 300/phone, sidekick2 that costed around 200/phone and a motorola video phone costed around 100, all of them for 225. I told her i cant do that she told me she is going to a diffrent store, she went to a diffrent store where my friend works he told her that phones will cost 700 in total, so she came back to my store. Why cant people use their brain saying they need to pay money for high end phones, and they cant get it cheap????

Apparently the new holiday thing is to go shopping while you are so impaired you would be considered "drunk in public" if a cop walked by. Just had a chick (reeked of booze) come in to buy pre-paid minutes and couldn't for the life of her figure out how to get them activated. Every time I tried to help she would scoff and send out this fountain of Tequila laden hot-breath. G'damn, if I wasn't working I would be drinking... and then shopping. HAPPY HOLIDAYS 😛
