do you need a tissue?

AS a third party retail store. The only payments we cant take are precash payments. precash charges us so we have to charge the customer. there is no way around it however we post the payments to the bill usually with in 20 min. now if you don't want to pay the extra five dollars send your bill in before it is due other wise I don't want to hear how your son is sick and you didn't have time and that you are spending your last 50 bucks to pay the pill it isnt my fault if you cannot afford to pay your bill so 😢 all I can do is offer you a tissue.

sorry just a little frustrated

A new level of... stuff

Stupidity -

Woman wants to order a phone. She's on a web site she says is T-mo... thing is, we have about a billion sites that sell our stuff (like everybody else) but we have a site that is tmobile.com (as opposed to t-mobile.com) that commonly confuses the already slow-witted. This woman was very confused. She wanted the Nokia 3220 which showed as free on that site, we charge for it but we have a camera flip phone for free on our site. I tried to explain how that site is a 3rd party retailer. I tried to explain how it's like going to a store (obviously she didn't get that... "Aren't you all T-mobile?" 😡 ) She just got more and more confused as I tried desperately to explain that I'd be more than happy to get her family plan set up...

jamster charges

What is going on with all the jamster and other thrid party mobile companies? Just about every other week i get customer coming in 😡 yelling and screaming about charges on their bill, that just appeared on their bill? Seems 😕 very mysterious? What are the actuall fees, and why do customers not know the charges. Do they think there is a one time fee? Then I really dont understand, when they say they are not going to pay the charges, like we charged them for being stupid? 😳 , Whatever, what are the charges, and how do people stop, or block them? 🙄

I have found a new level of disgust for my coworkers

I was pulling in to work today and I saw something that completely disgusts me. It wasn't so much of an "icky, that's gross" type of disgust as a moral "just who the hell do you think you are?" type of disgust.

I watched a car pull into a handicap stall, it had a tag in the window proclaiming that it did indeed belong in that stall but as I watched a woman got out of the car and walked into the building. There was nothing really wrong with her except for one thing... she was very very overweight.

Now don't get me wrong (as so many people are wont to do) I'm not a little bitty thing, I could stand to loose a few pounds, but you will be hard pressed to find a woman in this era who will not say that... this woman was not so massive that...

What the crud?!

A man came into my small store looking for a battery for a TDMA Nokia 5160. This phone has been outdated for years! When I told him I didn't have a battery here & gave him information for a nearby battery store that does, he just stood there looking at me funny after I asked if I could help with anything else. I explained that since we are small & haven't carried that phone in years, we only keep inventory for what we currently offer. He still stood there. I asked him if I could help him with anything else, and he stood there. I asked him again if I could help with anything else and he said, "No." I told him, I've asked him 3 times if he needed anything else and I wasn't sure if he was through since he just continued to stand there and look ...

I don't like this.

It's something about our company that annoys people and it's started to annoy me. I somewhat understand why we do it but it's assinine.

We compartmentalize. A lot. Sales has NO access to anything Customer care can see, Care can't see any of my things, same with the restricted account care, and anything pertaining to pre-paid, it's a completely different department.

I does prevent fraud...if I am unable to see any of the customer's info I wouldn't be able to use that for fraud...however I don't need it, I get so much info every single day that if I were so inclined I could wreak all kinds of havok.

It annoys our callers because they get so lost in the IDP because they are idiots and we aren't allowed to trasfer them... however thi...

I love it!! when

😁 So this guy calls in and wants credit because he went over min in his plan for the third month in a row this tome only by 40 bucks or so. He escalated to our res then to me screaming that he has been a loyal customer for 20 year with att and if we dont give him credit he will cancel this line his home line and 4 other wireless lines he has with us for his business. 🙄 So I tell him the first month he went over we gave him credit for all overage about 65 dollars and explained his plan and view min. The second time he went over we gave half because he whined that we did not explain his plan last month till his month was almost over. I wouldn't have but.... Now he wants credit again 😳 I declined to give credit so he gave me 4 other ...

Upgrade Moron

A woman came in last night interested in an upgrade. I talked to her and we discussed a few phones for a bit. Based on what she wanted, I explained that she'd save more money by going online and completeing the upgrade there. Typically, our phones ship out soon and are received in about 3-4 days. I always make sure to let the people know that if they have trouble, they can always call customer service to help them navigate or place the order. This woman called customer service and was told that our prices are the same as online. Apparently, the lady was awfully ill with me since the notes made quite a reference to her store experience with a lying agent. So, the lady comes back and wants to do the upgrade here and now with me. The phone here...

Change Jobs?

I could really use your thoughts and experience. I work in a call center (Convergys) on the former ATT accounts. I have been offered a job at a Cingular call center that pays 2.00 more. Have any of you made the transition and what do you think? I haven't accepted the new position yet but have to decide soon. What kind of employer do you think Cingular is? Thanks!

HAHA I did it.

I not only went home sick on Weds (because my boss pretty much threw me out.) but called in sick on Thursday. I came in today just to be obtuse but my voice is rapidly going downhill and I will likely leave around 2 or 3... I want to stick it out as long as I can firstly because I like having pocket money and secondly because I'm stubborn. I know I will end up going home early today... he doesn't believe me.

Is it really that difficult?

I don't understand why this is a hard concept. This woman wanted to see about setting up a line with a Sidekick. She lived out in the absolute middle of nowhere in the boonies of Arkansas. That does mean she doesn't have the same right to service as everybody else but we don't own towers there. She was quite convinced that somebody told her that the phone part of the Sidekick wouldn't work but the Internet would still work there. I tried to tell her how we don't own towers there so no matter what technical spec the Sidekick has it's NOT LEGAL for us to set up the service for her. She kept saying well what about if it's in my aunt's name. Does she live in the same town. Yes? duh! I tried also to explain that even if somebody managed ...

Sigh, they just don't get it...

Just two days ago I had a person come in and give me a phone that they found in a Wendy's parking lot across the street. I called up customer service and got the home number of the customer.

I called them up and the guy came in. He has had the phone for less than a month, but when I suggested he get insurance for the phone, he blew it off saying, "Oh I'm careful with my stuff." 😳

Dude! You just lost it at Wendy's! 👿

I explained to him that if it were most any other person, that phone would not have been turned in. If that were the case, he would have been paying full price.

Of course the dip$hit doesn't listen and promises he will "Keep tabs on his phone." Then leaves.

I hope that he does lose it, or it gets stolen, an...

understanding customer.......

11 months working here and it finally happened.

I had a customer admit that they messed up and they just wanted to pay and get this fixed.

holy crap.

Here's the story:

We actively advise customers to require a signature on any packages that we send them. If the customer still says that they want to have no signature required, we (of course) advise them that we are not responsible for that package and that they would need to file another insurance claim (and pay another deductible) in order to replace the phone if it were stolen.

guess what happened.

yep. this guy's phone was stolen and he asked us to leave it at the front door. I thought he was gonna go off on me and say it was my fault and demand compensation for his ...

Why do I do this to myself

I woke up with a throbbing headache and I still came in. I actually asked myself as I was driving in... "Why do I do this to myself." I have a very good reason to call in. I feel like crap and everybody who has seen me today says "Are you sure you don't want to just go home?" I say "Oh, I'll see how long I last, I try and stick out at least a couple of hours." What's worse, I actually have like 24 hours worth of PTO (Paid Time Off) built up so I could take the next three days off and still get paid. But the commissions mean I'll only get partial pay, not what I would normally be getting and when I do well I make closer to $14 an hour, rather than the base $8. Going home is so tempting though.

Apparently this streak of Masochism run...
