Are the network outages effecting your stores as well? I can't see how they wouldn't, but since they've blocked intermarket emails this is the only way I can really find out.

A Blue Springs woman was taken to a hospital emergency room early today after a cell phone became lodged in her throat.

The woman was in an argument with a boyfriend when the incident occurred, said Sgt. Steve Decker of the Blue Springs Police Department.

Decker said police were told that the woman tried to swallow the telephone because she didn't want the boyfriend to have it. However the case is under investigation.

Police responded to a call about a non-breathing person about 4:50 a.m. in the 3000 block of Southwest U.S. 40, Decker said. Police arrived and found that the 24-year-old woman was having trouble breathing. Her identity was not released.

Question of the Day!!

You know how well our customers are at being informed on cell phones.

Guy is here doing possibly 2 new lines of service. He had to ask "What is the colored screen for?" after he picks up a LG 3200....

WTF?!?!?


Must be the holiday season.......

Yet another one that just blows my mind.

So this guy wants me to set up him and run his credit. Sure, happily. Actually, he has a previous order in the system so all I'm going to do is confirm the information... and finalize the order (or policy is that if there is an order that has been processed once we have to finalize that order rather than replace it in our own name) but it comes up that he actually has a previous account with us.
"Oh wait." our credit agent says as we're looking this up. "He has a bankruptcy pending." Apparently he's still trying to file bankruptcy so he doesn't have to pay us the charges he wracked up with us and while that's not even final he wants us to give him another line under his good word that it won't happen again?

What? Wait what? How is this our fault?

So this woman calls in and is upset because her phone hasn't arrived yet. Researching her order shows that she has a different shipping address than her billing address. She tells me that she has just moved and her phone needed to be sent to her new address, unfortunately, it's already shipped and looking at UPS shows us that they've actually not only recognized that she doesn't live at the address that is listed on her package but they have tried three times to find her, and failed. She's pissed because she says she placed her order on Sunday and was supposed to get it Tuesday, and it's Friday. She's not mad because it's a gift and will be late, she's just pissy in general because she doesn't have her toy RIGHT NOW.

All of my customers were calm, peaceful, somewhat knowledgable people today. Damn.

I am happy that I'm making money, but it's so boring not having another idiot to talk about. 🤣

You have to be kidding me

A lady comes into my store upset with her bill after looking at her account I realize that she has a lot of overage charges. However I inform her that she is lucky because with sprints fair and flexible plans her charge is only 35 dollars and now she is pissed. The best part is she was over her min by 610. I would think for that much overage 35 dollars would seem fair but she threatened to cancel because I guess she thinks other carriers don't charge for excessive minute usage so whichever of you guys is lucky enough to land this Jewel of a customer good luck with her
and as always I wished her a merry christmas as she left.

Ah this one just kills me

So we're really slow today (I've been here two hours and taken one call...and it was a sale.) I was sitting here jaw-jacking with a co-worker after I got off that call and laughing because they guy asked where was I located and I responded with "Northern Idaho" which is as specific as I usually will give them. Later while we were waiting on the computer he says "Yeah, I heard about them girls in north Idaho, how they're really hot and do questionable things when they get really drunk." Well I'd been having a good day, and I'm no prude, and he was a nice guy and we had some real god rapport going so I responded "That's why I try to avoid getting really drunk." what????

i had a customer come into my store right now...and she wanted one of those new satallite phones...she argued that goverment employees have them and she wanted one... 😳 apperently they never drop calls any where..no matter what 🤣 i explained to her that i dont think 800 or 850 or even 1900 MHz will reach that far in the sky. anyone correct me if i am wrong...but i have heard gsm agents tell customers they have satallites in the sky for their network, she might of got her info that way, but you never know. Just thought it was funny..

miserable hohoho

I am so sick of people who are obviously miserable coming to my store to try to make me miserable too.
This girl who wanted to 'trade in' her six month old phone and wanted $200 credit for her used phone escalated to my store manager. She said I was rude to her. Like hell I was.Lying ho 👿 And then came back to get my name so her parents can file a complaint at 'corporate'. 🙄
This girl was as wide as she was tall. The only way to tell where her head was in all that fat was because that's where the sound came out. She was miserable,and out to make everyone else that way. And she had a cell phone. I'll probably get written up. That will be gone in 3 months. But she'll always be a fat, miserable, hohoho. 😈 Geesh...thou...

Didn't we have this conversation before?

We have to be very specific about the billing address... the address we set up for the account has to match EXACTLY to the one that is on the Credit Card Statement. So I ask "What address is your credit card billed to?"

"Well I don't know. I don't keep that information with me. It's my Credit Union, I think it's on Main Street."

Ah, I understand... you're just thick? I didn't ask what address your bank was at and I really honestly don't think my verbiage is that confusing... and I know I know Debit cards are technically billed to your bank and payed out of your checking account HOWEVER it wasn't a Debit card this time!

Christmas Eve

I was so bloody happy when my family decided to take off to see the cousins in the country for christmas and i was going to be alone, with my cat, my bottle of wine, and my fix... but they decided to call the whole thing off and now everyone is staying with me.

So I have been thinking about my pathetic life.

Until yesterday...

During the hour that I have spent on the phone talking to this John Smith who needed assistance with his cellphone I got to know not only that he's got family all over the country, he just got his divorce and then had an open heart surgery and moved to a different state to heal. And he did not want me to think that he's alone or that he had nothing else to do, but he's really patient, and he likes to interact...

monkey heads

so i had a lady come into my store right now. she wanted to cancel her number in texas because she got a new number out in cali with a service provider. now i am an auth agent and have ethnics. but i called customer care to cancel her contract with vzw because she got a new vzw number somewhere elese...and what to my surprise she is still in contract. these monkey heads at wireless thats it a sub agent for celluphone are crooks. the manager at that store wont even aknowalge he did anything wrong????? Now this poor lady has to either pay an etf or continue on paying for two phones. she was upfront with these people too. they just did it anyway. the " now policy "

😁 customer walks in, states their phone's broke, i look at it. 😕 no water damage, new battery didn't due the trick 🙄 so i looked up the account, phones in warrenty 🙄 tell the customer they can purchase another one for such and such,or they can call customer care for a replacement, while their here in the store; they start yelling, and demanding a new phone for free that day 😲 so i say" sorry sir we dont have a "now policy"! 😛 Customer then saids we suck, yea i guess most cell phone companies do, man when you wreck your car, it doesnt get fix that day, and you only get a rental if it was apart of your insurance plan, that means you been paying extra for it? Get a F@#&'N life 😡

PREPAID PHONE FOR $30?!?!?!?!?.......YEA RIGHT!!!!!

i just had a customer come in and ask to buy the nokia 3120 on a prepaid account for $30!!! 😳 and guess who told him that?!!?!?!? CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! 👿 why do they tell all these people the wrong information about what the stores offer? THEY DONT KNOW!!! so then he argues with me about why he cant convert two of his accounts to family talk when one is in his old company's name. then tells me that i am calling him a liar because there where no notes on his account to agree with what care said.

Stay out of my store. Go down stairs to T-mobile or Nextel.
I am at a mall store. This is a sample of today:
This chick gets an attitude with me because she wants us to give her a pc card. Keep the service for 3 months. So she can cancel and keep the card for free (her words) and no ETP.
Then in comes this princess who is actually wearing a tiara. Yes a full 4 inch tall tiara.
And then there's the guy wearing girl jeans.eeeuw 🙄
The 6 1/2 ft 400lb drag queen. Gross. Glad he didn't buy anything, Didn't want to touch his money.
This kid who tells everyone in the store that serial killers are getting phone numbers off the demo call logs. Where the hell are this little freak's parents. He pulls some sort of bizarre crap like this in...

THe Saturday from hell!!!

👿 talk about not wanting to come in today..i will put the day together in chronological order to the best of my memory..

i was an open to close...it started with a guy walking in , with a phone in 2 pieces, no insurance, saying "i am here to get my new phone (for free) 😳 , when told no, he then of course name dropped 2 people that no longer work there..(wonder why)...we of course promised him a recon phone i don't know that we will even get b4 his warranty expires..(yeah, he gets one under warranty).

i then got screamed at for half an hour cause this customer changed her plan 2 days after she got started and wouldn't listen to anything i had to say..then proceeded to yell at customer service keeping anyone from selling..

Story time!

I just had the "dumbest smartguy" come into my store. His phone was stolen or lost, and was angry about paying the early termination fee. Reasonable, I wouldn't want to pay more money if something mean happened to me, so that part I found reasonable. What happened next is beyond my comprehension. I spent the next 10-15 minutes arguing with this guy. First off I told him he should definately get insurance on his next phone, to which he said that that would just add insult to injury, having to pay for insurance after they made him buy another phone? I really couldn't respond to that, seems to me that if you find a solution to your problem... you don't get angry about it. right? Insurance=protectin against LOST or STOLEN phones.
