ARE YOU A REALTOR???

At least once a week I have a customer that comes in with a broken or damaged phone. I go through the options and before I can tell them that I will give them a loaner I am interrupted with...
"BUT IM A REAL ESTATE AGENT!"

(And I sell cell phones...whats your point?)

"The number is on my business cards!"

(Yup. Mine too, again what's your point?)

"You are halting business, and costing me money!"

I would be more than happy to give you a loaner phone Mr. Customer that you can use while we replace/repair your phone.

"oh well why didn't you say that before i got all worked up?" ummm...cause you didn't let me??

I only have this problem with Realtors..."BUT IM A REALTOR!" I dont care your profession does not make you...

This dude comes in my store and says that he lost his phone. I check his account and its due for an upgrade. No problem. He has $30 to his name and he wants a camera phone (yea right). He mulls around and asks a few questions and I do my thing. He plays with a couple of phones then says something about going to hit his dad up for some cash to get a new phone. He goes to leave and comes back in to use the bathroom and then he goes to our demo 8100 and plays with it for a minute or two and then walks over to the case to see the price on it and then leaves.

Spent 20 minutes just thinking which I think is an adventure for this dude..Gotta be something better to do than hang out here...

Going to be one of those days. Sick, going...

Are you new hear or something?

My second to last day at verizon i got this question from a an angry customer about his upgrade. Dont know if anyone hear is familiar with upgrade policies at verizon here is the basic. TO upgrade early must have phone for at least a year and be on a rate plan of 59.99 or higher.

guy: ok so i want to upgrade my phone!
Me: sure, we can look at phones right now but i wont be able to upgrade your phone for a week.
Guy: no, i dont think you understand. i want a phone now.
Me; ok full retail price
guy: are you new hear or somthing?
Me: no sir, i have been here almost a year, and that has always been our policy.

What the hell is up with people and wanting stuff whenever they think they should get it. I dont go back to my honda dealer...

No Voice

I work in telesales and yesterday I really had no voice. That can be a serious problem. My supervisor (one of them) let me get up and be the resource (wear the little hunting vest and wander around answering questions) but the other supervisor (the head honcho) didn't want me up because she thought having me walking around would spread whatever it is I have. Then she realized I was the healthiest one of the whole group of people who are certified to do the job, I had only lost most of my voice, the rest were coughing and hacking and sneezing all over the place.

We're all going to die in here I swear, it's insane. There isn't a really healthy person in the building.

I don't have any idea when i work tomorrow!

It is 2:20 on Sunday and I don't know when I work on Monday. Does that seem like a problem to anyone else? We have a new manager, but this is unacceptable. If I don't have a schedule by the time I leave at 6PM tonight, then I will believe that I am off on Monday and I will not have my phone on until noon so that I can sleep in. Rant complete.

Talk about awkward....

bassplayer reminded me of a call I made one time when we were outbound AT&T long distance sales I called a customer to sell and there was weeping and wailing.. I asked for Tom Jones lets say and some lady was on the phone crying that he just had a massive heart attack and they were waiting for an ambulance, she was asking me OMG are you a friend I'm so sorry here let me let you talk to his daughter, I just gave my polite disconnect and said no I don't really need to bother them at this time.

I hate it when customers lie for no reason....

case in point....

the samsung c225 is discontinued. we don't have it. I was in the middle of explaining this.....

me: "Ma'am. The Samsung C225 is a discontinued phone, so we will not be able to send that phone to you. What we can replace that with is a Nokia 6010. Are you familiar with that phone, ma'am?"

lady: "Oh yes, I know that phone."

me: "Well, do you think that would be okay, ma'am?"

lady: "What's it like? Is it a flip phone?"


WTF? didn't you just tell me you knew all about that phone? why do that? it didn't serve any purpose? were you trying to earn cool points with me? gaaaaaah

How many gooberheads can we see in a day?!

This guy walks through the door of our Cingular store in the middle of nowhere. Here's what happens:
Cust - I'm a Cingular customer.
*DUH*
Me - Okay, what can I do for you today?
Cust - Can you tell me all of the upgrade options you have here?
*No. There are too many options & I need more information to tell you what your options are!*
Me - Let me look at your account. What's your cell phone number?
*I have to say cell phone number because I have had so many people try to give me their home number!*
Cust - Uhhh. 770. No. 404. No 678. Yep. 678-blah-blah
*How hard is it to remember your area code?*

Riddle Me This...

Because I just don't seem to understand the reasons why!

Why do people come into a clearly marked Cingular store located in the weirdest place ever to ask where another wireless location is nearby and then have the nerve to get mad when I tell them I don't know.

Why do people come into this store and ask for a phone case for their phone when they don't know what make or model and can't find it on display, but I'm supposed to be a mind reader and find them a case that magically fits their phone perfectly? Especially when you come in to ask about a case for a phone sold by another wireless provider?

Why do angry people start yelling with the phrase "You sold me this..."? I've never had a customer I've sold something to come back and s...

I told you Managment was thick

Our E-mail system was down, most of us were very aware of it, when it came back up we found this little tid-bit waiting for us. Apparently a manager had sent this out from his Blackberry to the rest of us during the outage.

"Fyi team this is for the email issue we are having….IT is aware of it and has declared an outage"

He sent that out as an email being fully aware of the fact that our email system was down, telling us that the system was down. What The Hell?

ok this guy came up to my kiosk, he looked about 19 or 20.

i make eye contact and before i can say anything he asks
"do you have a sprint charger for my car"

weird way to ask but i understood what he meant
so i ask " what phone do you have"

"a sprint"

dont you just hate that phrase? i do. well see i think i was mis-understanding see i assumed they were refering to the company i work for. they are obviously talking about their dealings with http://www.youpeople.net/.
