no, you can't use it!

dude, so a customer walks in and asks if he can use our copy machine to make copies of his mortgage paperwork.

no you can't use our copy machine, go to staples and pay the 10 cents a sheet and use theirs. unless you have paper; if you bring your own copy paper, and give me 2 dollars towards our next ink cartridge you can use our copier.

What's the big deal?

People have become so jaded (and I'm sure we've hit on this topic quite a bit lately) about the phones. They expect everything for free. I had a girl today who wanted prices on the phones and when I explained the prices for the phones she wanted she acted like it was a disappointment that I wasn't going to offer her a free RAZR. We were already offering her a free camera flip phone, which USED to be cause for excitement but we create our own demons by offering the farm for free.

I'm curious as to who had the bright idea to build a camera into Mobile phones to begin with? How is that a logical progression of the technology? "Oh lookie! I can cram a little crappy, low-res camera into this phone and charge twice as much!" I don't unde...

so it appears that we are now a global operation for real.....we already have a call center in Hong Kong, but starting in June/July, we will be offering mobile phone insurance in Japan. Our first client will be DoCoMo. Seeing as insurance for mobile phones is a foreign (double entendre indended) concept in Japan, this will be the first program of its kind over there. I don't know about you but I think that's at least kinda cool and I'm kinda bored, so I just wanted to give a shout out to all my soon to be Japanese co-workers. Konichiwa bitches!

for once it's not customers

one of my co-workers keeps attacking me over the internet and he's hitting me with real low blows. I didn't think anyone could be so cruel. the problem is I don't know who it is. I have it narrowed down to 2 different people, because the posts are only being made when both of them are working. co-worker number 1 I've confided some things in, and he knows alot about me personally because I feel like I can trust him, and some of the things I've confided in him have been brought up, however he's always sweet as all hell to my face. co-worker 2 seems to really have it out for me, he's constantly trying to get me angry and riled up, and he seems to have more motive. I can't figure out why either of them would do this because I've never done anyth...

I was working in another city a couple of weeks ago and this customer comes in (not the account holder of course) and has a (dad's) phone that has the signal bouncing pretty regularly. It was just past the 15 day deal and the phone was in really good shape but the guy didn't have the charger or the box with him. I did a swap into a different model of phone and told him to bring the box and all back. The difference in price was $80 more for the new phone. In the back of my mind I told myself that this wasn't going to be good. During the process this guy is telling me how bad our customer service is and we dont know a thing about customer service. Basically just running us down. I let it go for a week and got a note from my boss to get a hold ...

No Customer issues... Company issues

why is it that a girl gets fired for bad book keeping and giving false information, and then in her wake, as i take over, and am entirely to overworked, and trying to clean up her mess, AND being the only employee here which means i have to help all customers also, do I get yelled at when one of her mistakes goes through the pipeline before i could catch it?

I've been managing here for 3 weeks, and each time her mistakes cause me problems, i get yelled at, when i work 80 hours a week, with one day off to cover personal issues, and practically do more work at home?

I'm sick of this, it looks like they're going to fire me for all of this, when i've given nothing less than 300 percent. I'd rather quit before that happens. But it's not de...

All of our freakin' demo phones are being called by this # like 15 times today so far! I'm going nuts! When you call it, it gives a short ring then a fast busy.

I have no clue what the guy is saying...

Has this happened to any of you?

Will T-Mobile activate my old Startac 7868...and will it connect to their network?

I'd like to go back to my old Startac 7868 phone. I never use the bells and whistles on the new phones and you just can't beat the old startac for reception. If I bring my old startac in to T-Mobile, will they be able to switch my number back to the old phone?

I read somewhere that they would refuse to activate it because it doesn't have GPS...

I don't even know if it would work on the networks T-Mobile uses...could anyone help me out on this?

It may be my migraine but really I think it's the rest of the world. I've had two people tell me the my carrier had the razr (shock!) in the paper today for buy one get one for 99.99. I can't even come close to that!
This last guy walks up tells me he's on a need to know basis. I'm think ok this guy seems pretty cool. He tells me he wants two lines and won't spend more than $50. I inform him our lowest family plan is $70. per month. He keeps repeating himself, so I keep repeating myself then he asks if the price in the paper is only with a new line I say yes and you'll probably have to go to a corp. store for that price I can't match that. And So it Begins

It's past the Christmas season now and the funky schedule stuff has begun.

They have too many people in the morning when I come in so they send home all the early morning people (even if they don't want to go) but send home enough people that early so that we become way understaffed in the evenings and those of us who are evening people want to yank our teeth out because we're back-to-back-to-back calls.

This is what we can expect all (ALL) summer long, until about September again. How fun.

i'm going to lose my mind

ok it's normal for me to have a few bad credit people in a day..

but today

it's must be international bad credit day

if i had activated every phone i tried to put through today i would have made 210 in commission in 1 day..

i usually make that in a week..

I'm just so frustrated because all theses people are stupid.. and i havn't sold a phone yet todday!!!!

I cannot speak spanish, I cannot understand spanish, I cannot read or write spanish. when a customer comes up to me and asks if I speak spanish (they ask me in spanish of course) and I say "no" and shake my head no, and they continue to speak spanish, even though I say multiple times throughout their one sided conversation "no comprenday" it frustraits me, because I start feeling stupid. when they start getting angry that I don't answer their questions because I can't understand their questions I begin to get pissed, because I don't know what the hell they're asking me, and I told them I don't understand.

do not continue to speak to me in spanish for 10 minutes after I say I can't help you. grrrr

Curiously...

Do other phone reps get this ever...

A person calls in for whatever reason and despite the fact that there was absolutely no hold time (we had 7 agents available) they immediately say "Oh hold on a second."

I'm not sure why they do this, not that it happens a lot but I curious as to why people do this? Wouldn't you want to wait until you had like five minutes available to ask your questions? They literally say "Oh Hi, hang on!" Right after I give my intro.

I have a question

Ok so we all have our scripts on how to answer the phone and what to say in certain situations, I get that. Here is my question. If I call into customer care and they say "Caller I can't hear you please call back" Is that really just a I want to go on break but I have to take one more call before they will let me copout? I heard that it was.

This lady had previously had service with us and was looking into setting it back up. I said ok, do you have some questions for me? She said "more like a list of demands." and I knew she wasn't going to like my answer from that point on.

"I want a RAZR phone."

Sorry, we don't have them. The trade journals say that they should be avail bale again 'in a couple of days' but that there are some bugs in them that have caused them to be pulled so they can be fixed... sounds like they just had a faulty batch.
