i wouldn't - the camera on the Galaxy S II is noticeably better. It's confusing, as they both have an 8mp camera - but i've used both, and the Galaxy S II camera consistently takes better photos.

Wow, the fact that you are an actual AT&T Customer Service employee just reinforces every bad stereotype that anyone has ever had about AT&T. Its not Windows Mobile 7 - anyone with any iota of technical knowledge, especially someone employed by a cell phone company, should know that its called Windows Phone 7. I don't know if it's ambition at this point, I think ATT is probably waiting to see what happens with TMO before they go too much into it. Either way, though, the reason doesn't matter, it's still frustrating for the consumer.

And no, I'm not a Verizon fanboy, I'm just an AT&T customer who is somewhat disappointed with AT&T lagging behind all the other major carriers with their "4G" rollout.

What? So your telling me that the first tower goes up in in the end of May, and that by the end of June will cover more than Verizon? What flavor is the kool-aid you're drinking? AT&T was laughingly slow at building out its 3G network, and you're telling me they will have 70+ markets lit up with LTE in one month? Um, gonna go with a no on this one.

Infuse - same 8mp camera as Inspire, but i think the quality is better on the Infuse, and also has a 1.3mp front camera. Screen is absolutely amazing as well.

Too bad sales reps who work for corporate ATT don't make as much on AppleCare anymore - ATT cut their commission in half on AppleCare

ATT was adding it back to customers who originally had unlimited and switched off it - not customers who never had unlimited data. Someone coming on a forum and offering to give customer's unlimited data is acting against ATT policy, and if caught, would probably be fired for commissions fraud.

Your phone is locked to ATT Wireless - new ATT (old Cingular) sim cards will not work in those devices unless they are unlocked. ATT does not unlock those devices b/c they want you to get a new device (and the corresponding 2 yr agreement). You could unlock the phone and it would work fine - either at a local place that does it or by looking online.

8-15%? The highest estimate from anyone was 10 million (10.5%) - and that was laughed off by almost every other news site/cell phone blog out there. Most every other site had it in the 2-3 million range (2.1% - 3.2%), with 5 million (5%) at max. I think the 8-15% you are speaking about were talking about 8-15% of ATT's iPhone customers - not overall customer base.

The funnypart about this rankin is that ATT improved most in their actual retail store customer service rankings. Their actual customer service group - the people you call in to talk to - are still ranked as among the worst in the industry, yet their in store performance is substantially better - what gives?

Try telling that to your car insurance company if you pulled off the same thing with them - its the same thing. Dollar amount doesn't matter - fraud is fraud. Trying to "legitimize" it just shows your lack of moral aptitude.

Love the last paragraph - it appears Apple's free ride is finally over. Basically every other problem with previous iPhones has always been blamed on ATT and they have gotten off without a scratch - now the truth is finally coming around. Both ATT and Apple are to blame - ATT for not planning ahead in regards to their network and Apple for basically putting out an iPod Touch with substandard phone components.

How long have they been saying Verizon will get the iPhone... :? AT the Droid X launch event, Verizon told customers that if they were eligible to upgrade anytime this year, they would let them upgrade to the Droid X, much like ATT did with the iPhone. Why would they do that just to have the iPhone out in January and all these unhappy customers who couldn't get it....?

Also, an interesting point from the Engadget.com review of the new iPhone.... Yes I stream video daily, listen to pandora daily, and surfthe net daily, and have never gone over 2 gigs. So you feel that the company should shape it's policy around your usage habits? How about the person who hardly ever uses data - why should they pay more for less usage? 98% of ATTs customers use less than 2 gigs a month - so this change is positive for 98% of ATT users. Hmmm actually it wasn't the CEO - if you are talking about the incident that was on the news. It was a normal rep in ATTs "office of the president" department - which is to say thy were just a standard customer service rep in a group assigned to handle executive complaints. Where have you "heard" that the phone will be 750-800 with ATT? That's the unsubsidized pricing you are talking about - with ATT the most expensive subsidized phone i've ever seen was in the $400 - $500 range - nowhere near the 750-800 you are talking about. Also, your statement that other carriers have more "reliability" built into their equipment is absolutely ridiculous. I'll take hard, cold facts over your "experiences" any time - show me one credible study ...

The market has probably been saturated for 1-2 years now, ATT and Verizon were able to offset that by picking up the customers that Sprint was bleeding out. Now that Sprint has at least slowed down the bleeding you are starting to see ATT and Verizons numbers slow down. (at least that's my take on the situation)

Ummm that's the exact point I was trying to make. ATT adding fewer contract subscribers is not something to e worrie about as even Verizon, which normally has the strongest retail postpaid growth out of all carriers was down in 1Q as well. I'm sick of all the immature idiots on here who know nothing about the industry posting a blurb from a website that they can't even truly comprehend.

Unfortunately for Big Red, it didn’t fare as well as Ma Bell. Over the past three months, 423,000 new post-paid customers put ink to a contract. Overall, Verizon gained 1.5 million net customers to bring its overall total to 92.8 million. Your statement just blatantly highlights your complete incompetence in regards to wireless devices. Its common knowledge among those in the cell phone industry or those familiar with it that the phone doesn't have to set next to any liquid or have liquid spilled on it to get what is referred to as "liquid damage." Post paid churn fell to a record low 1.07% while overall churn decreased to 1.3%. the increase in prepaid adds is expected as prepaid growth is one of ATTs big focuses in 2010. You can spin numbers to say whatever you want but 1.9 million subcribers, record low churn, and a near 30% increase I revenue is a pretty solid month no matter how you look at it ( pretty sure tmobile or sprint would kill for those numbers)

I couldn't agree more. I feel sorry for any employee who has worked their butts off to stay with a company that provides good benefits - thanks to your elected congress, you will now more than likely start paying a significant amount more for your health insurance, or have benefits cut back. Meanwhile the guy down the street barely holding on to his job at McDonalds, who wouldn't know a work ethic if it slapped him in the face, ...
