Has anyone successfully gotten the LG G5 to read text messages out loud
Aug 10, 2016, 6:17 PM
in the LG G5 forum

I cannot get it to read the text messages out loud. I know the settings that are supposed to make this work - they don't! It should be: Settings - Sound & Notification - - Message/call voice notifications - Read caller info and messages out loud ON - - - Calls - Read caller info out loud (ON or OFF should be ok. I want this OFF, but I have tried it both ways) - - ...

Back for the extended battery
Mar 4, 2014, 3:09 PM
in the Samsung Galaxy Stratosphere II forum

Does anyone KNOW a good source for the back that goes with the extended battery for this phone? I got an extended battery and the back from a seller on eBay. I'm very satisfied with the extended battery, but the back was a somewhat poor fit when I got it three months ago and has just gotten looser and looser. Now that back will come loose and fall off pretty easily unless I put ...

Ringtones?
Feb 5, 2011, 3:23 PM
in the Samsung Intensity II forum

Anyone have a reliable way to get ringtones onto the Intensity II other than buying the crud Verizon sells? I have been able to send SOME mp3 files to the phone in multimedia messages and assign them as ringtones, but some work and some don't. The difference betweens ones that work and ones that don't work isn't the file size, but I haven't been able to figure out what makes some files work and some not work.

in the Samsung Intensity II forum

I have an Intensity II and so does my granddaughter -- we both need to charge ours at least every other night. Very little talk time used - maybe 50-60 texts in and out on mine, about twice that on hers. Maybe one or two pictures taken and sent. I charged my phone fully night before last. When I was getting ready to go to bed last night the phone was showing two bars of battery left (half the ...

It doesn't matter where you get the phone, Verizon requires the data plan when you activate the phone. It has nothing to do with subsidizing the cost of the phone. Most carriers are demanding some sort of data plan on any phone that has data access capability because they quickly got tired of eating the bill when some nitwit runs up a $10k phone bill at the ridiculous pay as you go rates. The carriers want customers ...

Obviously it is too late to help this user since is post was over a year ago, but his final post identifies exactly the problem that he had. The software can only sync with ONE Outlook profile. The fact that it would sync with his laptop IS why it wouldn't sync with outlook on his desktop. The solution would have been to uninstall and reinstall ActiveSync and be sure to sync the phone with Outlook on the desktop ...

The phone will accept an 8GB microSD card and it will format the card successfully. After formatting the card, the phone thinks it has just under 4GB (actually 4GB - 128MB) free. Take the same card and read it from a computer and it shows the full 8GB so the phone is not formatting the chip down to 4GB, but the phone just doesn't recogzine the extra space. Some day when I'm bored, I'll use the computer to fill ...

You can use the wallpaper setting to give the outer screen any color you like. Just make a picture of the right size in whatever color you want, transfer it to the phone, then set is as the background pic for the screen. As for the backlight colors, I suspect a seem edit could do what you want, but I prefer having a phone rather than a paperweight so I am not going to experiment to try ...

Re: USB Drivers

The Moto site does NOT have downloadable drivers for the W755. Supposedly the latest Motorola Phone Tools includes a driver that will work with the W755 but the current version is deliberately crippled to keep it from doing anything that Verzion didn't want users to do (basically ALL multimedia functions are disabled when you connect MPT to a Verizon phone) I have seen several posts suggesting that the Motorola Software Update program has drivers that can be used with the ...

May 12, 2009, 12:50 PM
in the Motorola W755 forum

How about if you have another battery for it. Motorola recommends not using the phone while it is connected to a charger, so having a second battery is probably a good idea if you use the phone a lot and need to have the phone available all the time... BUT having a second battery doesn't do much good if the only way to charge it is by having it in the phone.

Even if the person who posted the original question doesn't read the answer, it was a legitimate question and no one else had answered it yet -- which means that others may well have the same question and be waiting for an answer, including new enV2 owners (like myself) who look through the forums for information. Any legitimate answer to a legitimate question should always be welcome.

UI is User Interface, its just a menu, it nothing to do with which features work or don't, its just how you access said features. I am constantly amazed at the ridiculous level of nastiness involved in the battle over whether or not features can be considered part of the User Interface. We have the camp of the self-styled purists who insist that the UI is only the menu structure itself but not the menu content. We also have the ...

If the incoming number is in the phone book the phone will show you the name of that contact. You can read the caller ID before deciding whether or not to take the call. The VX3200 doesn't have any feature to automatically reject specific incoming numbers, ...

Bitpim is working fine for the phonebook (which I don't really need it for) and for wallpaper (THANK GOD), but for some reason the ringtone stuff won't work. When I send ringtones to the phone, Bitpim shows an error log - the names of the uploaded ringtones show up in the phone menu, and I can select those names, but the don't make any sound (the regular ringtones that come with theh phone work fine).
