Exactly. They limit it because it is really meant for business use, not so you can download 20GB of movies and music a month. Remember, these are the "its the network guys" they don't want it to affect their network performance.

I push the Jabra 350 pretty hard in my store, I usually sell a good deal of those, and some Jabra 500's too. Both seem to work well with the 8300 from my experience (which is probably 2 of every 3 phones I sell).

The VX8700 is out now if anyone is still looking at this.
Similar to the 8600 but with some of the body made of metal and the camera upgraded to 2MP.

No I do not have a changelist.
The new software doesn't always make it out to the stores for flashing right away, so don't be surprised if you go in for an upgrade and they tell you V03 is the newest they have.

Thats not a bad point. I do remember seeing recently that Verizon wanted to buy out Vodafone's share. Vodafone wants to hang on to it however so it will cost an arm and a leg.

They need to do something if they are to survive, thats for sure. Their results continue to show them lagging behind both Cingular and Verizon in postpay adds.
Probably a good thing for both VZW and Alltel
The addition of Alltel's exsisting coverage and spectrum would be an awesome compliment to VZW's exsisting infrastructure. Alltel has long been one of VZW's closest roaming partners anyways. This addition would really give VZW a real edge again.

It's all a problem of ignorance/laziness.
It is amazing how people can take something that is so simple, not even try, throw their hands in the air and "give up" as if they had tried.
All too often someone comes into my store asking how they delete their messages (voice mail). I have them dial into their mailbox with speakerphone on and a message plays, the mailbox ladies voice says "to delete press 7 etc etc" and the person looks at ...

I didn't spend too much trying but I didn't have any lucking finding a flash version to work on the 6700. One thing to note, I don't think the 6700 really has the CPU power to do many of the cool things you can do in flash. :(

The display might have been in need of a soft reset. I can't say the phone is terribly fast, but I do know that if you have several programs running and/or havent dont a soft reset in a while then it will run much slower.

I'd wager their customer base isn't exactly huge. I'm going to guess that this move is really mainly (as the headline said) to fill in network coverage.
Look at a current map for Americas Choice, this single transaction will eliminate more that 2/3 of the largest region of coverage gap that is east of Oklahoma City. The rest of that area is eastern Kentucky anf afaik the WV wirless company doesn't own a network in that area.

You need to know the make and model of the bluetooth enabled stereo before this can be answered. I would say though that you should get the v03 update as it has updates to the BT library on the phone.

To get the upgrade you need to take it to a VZW store with a tech and ask to have the software flash done on your phone.
A quick search of the forum will get you up to speed on changes.
