oops, I thought I proofread that one completely. That was supposed to read, "It's ABOUT time Nokia."

It's Aout Time Nokia!

It's about time Nokia put out a decent looking clamshell for the North American market that has bluetooth, FM radio, removeable memory, a megapixel camera and EDGE! Looks like I finally have a good reason to leave motorola. ..The screen could be bigger though! LOL

Why would they announce the v3i? It was announced at least a month ago and is already being sold in Europe.

This planet is SO doomed! Ignorance is bliss and you people are the most blissful I've encountered. I'm sure one day you'll understand very clearly. If you talk and type like an idiot on the internet, don't be surprised if one day you're taken for an idiot in the real world, because it's bound to carry over sooner or later. Making an honest mistake is one thing, but proudly proclaiming you did it on purpose only serves to ...

What type of mines? Coal mines, land Mines or naval? Maybe instead of a overpriced phone and a game console you should buy an english textbook instead, so you don't make of a fool of yourself for all to see!

The GSM RAZR doesn't have a headset jack either. Motorola sells a mini-usb headset that plugs into the same port that you charge the phone, so I'm sure that type would work on this phone as well.

WRONG, The manual for this model in the FCC documentation shows the phone has a speakerphone option.

L6 is most likely a T-Mobile phone.

in the Motorola L6 forum

I noticed that the FCC documentation for this phone was posted today (FCC ID = IHDT6FW1) and the documentation shows that it has a tri-band radio with only the 1900mhz freq activated (900 & 1800 disabled) Being it's a 1900-mhz only phone, that seems to indicate it's most likely headed to T-mobile only, at least in North America. I suppose another triband w/850mhz could be approved later for Cingular.

I've heard this "rumor" before and I think it's BS. If this is true, then how do you explain the Samsung C207, Audiovox SMT-5600 and Motorola ROKR E1 (all bar phones) being carried by Cingular?

Re: Removable Memory!?!?!?!?

in the Motorola PEBL U6 forum

While I would have to agree with you that the lack of removable memory ruins the phone for most hardcore users, the majority of cell phone users could care less about that. The people that are going to be buying this phone are those that want to have a stylish and unique looking phone. The PEBL is pretty much a RAZR in a different shell, and that didn't stop thousands from buying that one! 5MB of memory is ...

in the Article: EDGE Disappears From High End Motorolas forum

Since EDGE was only intended to be an interim step on the path to a fully 3G network, perhaps MOTO decided to put more money into UMTS/HSDPA chipsets. If the rumors are to be believed, Cingular should have a major launch(re-launch) of UMTS soon and that makes the need for new EDGE phones less important, at least for Cingular customers (T-Mobile USA is another story however)

Re: Has anyone else heard about the V323 replacing the V265?

in the Motorola V265 / V266 / V276 forum

Well, there is some FCC documentation on the Motorola V325, (IHDT56FA1 - Linked below) which I believe will probably be the same as the v323. Just like the v260/v262 and v266/v276, Verizon will get one model and all other carriers will get the other. The v325 documentation shows a tri-mode cdma phone (analog + 800/1900 digital cdma) https://www.phonescoop.com/phones/fcc_que ry.php?gc=IHD&pc=T56FA1

Re: Questions

Actually, Cingular isn't exclusively 850mhz, they use 1900mhz also in the Southeast USA. Cingular loves marketing their phones as "World phones" so it makes since to leave them enabled as quad-band so they will be usable in more countries.
