Bad for Moto, Great for Nokia, LG, Samsung

....Who will all be debuting EDGE-enabled products by years end, most noticably, Samsungs D600 on Cingular.
It makes absolutely no sense that Sony Ericsson, Nokia have EDGE working perfectly on their phones, and Samsung and LG are both getting ready to release phones with EDGE...then you have the "number 1 phone manufacturer" or so they say, Motorola, that ...

Phone Features: MP3 player, 2 meg camera, and um... oops?

This could possibly drop Motorola far behind in the cell race. Lets just hope they will be able to keep up for WCDMA.

How can you let this happen?

I mean I guess it is better than have bad EDGE but as long as EDGE has been around for them to not have it working well on their chipset is ridiculous.

I wonder though, could this have something to do with not wanting to have a US and European version of the handset since European handest don't have EDGE???
