Looks
awesome. Hope they hit stores soon.
Screen protectors
I've seen about 100 different ones on ebay.
Anyone have continued good luck with a particular brand or type?
Should i just look for 2x6 size?
Thanks for any input you may have to offer.
Re: Fingerprint Issue ?
Yeah, thats why I got the wine red. the back is textured, not shinny smooth like the black.
Awesome phone
Re: GPS is the real deal. Better than the Q9 Global.
Make sure you are outside or in the car. If I'm in the car, i leave it on the dash till gps connects. It can take a minute or three, normal for a cold start.
Go to menu and choose "use gps"
I like satellite view.
I think windows live is much more appealing, maps keep up better.
Re: bt OBEX support?
confirmed.
I have printed a pic to a bt printer in my house. I have sent ringers from my pc to my phone. I have sent ringers phone to phone. On my Nokia 6682 I marked all my contacts, then sent them bt to my xx. On the contact transfer it sent all entries for a contact.
The stereo bt is awesome. I enabled the spatial and really enjoy the sound through my ht820's. I have even lisyened through my ...
POP3 on the v3xx
I had the same issues and thought I got this linf from someone on this board.
Try this, but I would suggest a data plan.

Re: Mistaken Identity- I am soo sorry
I have seen a few different collateral pieces with the n75. One was a poster. I think we will carry it, but not till May.
Re: A couple of quick questions.
yes
Re: Going for the V3xx...
Yeah, but it so far from being just another Razr, I don't care what anyone thinks.
3.6 download capable
A2DP
ringers, Cingular Video and music to a standard BT headset.
Choice to have only BT headset ring, and not phone.
Improved OS
Clearly not just another Razr, and if they can't tell the difference, who cares.
Re: Going for the V3xx...
The v3xx is a solid device. Since the n75 delay, I have benn using the xx and it has been great. It's certainly not a series 60 phone, but is is very nice.
I went from the original razr to a 6682 and just could not wait any longer for a 3g device. Cingular store personnel in my market are required to carry a 3g device and I had to have one.
I still long for a 3g Nokia launch, ...
Re: questions
Yeah, it's way dumbed down. 8O

Re: Nokia N 75Cingular ????
Phone pricing was released to company stores yesterday.
That is the "source".
The release date is still listed as TBD.
That is after a $50 mir and 2yr.

guys are saying, "the nokia rep is very confident that cingular will release this in november"

Sounds like "he sais she said". If you guys had more to go on(Cingular itself anouncing, then cancelling), I might consider your point of view.
Cingular can not control what Nokia, Moto or Samsung reps spew.
The following link is to the site where Cingular announces it's newly launched equipment and products. When it's announced at this site, it's official and from Cingular. ...
Re: 1st Qtr (January) '07
BS????
Call it what you like, you are entitled.
Fact: no press release came from Cingular stating the n80 would be carried. It did show up on some internal spreadsheets as a phone that was being considered. It was not made with us 3G, only 2100. Do you want to spend all that money on a device that does not reach it's full potential? If so, you can still buy one. They are available at Nokia.com.
The 6126 was announced, then ...
Re: 1st Qtr (January) '07
I work for Cingy and talked to a marketing director(person resonsible for approving phones and promos for his region). He stated a mid january release also.
Good things come to those who wait.
Re: UMTS vs. HSDPA
HSDPA is to UMTS as Edge is to GPRS, the next step.
Re: No ringer IDs?
Ringer id's, does that mean specific ringers for different callers?
If it does not allow it, i'd be suprised, but a work around would be to create a group for anyone that has to have a seperate ringer.
Hope that helps.
Re: HELP!!! A2DP??? Stereo Bluetooth headset - it does work!!
"No but see, i also have a v3i... and if you connect the headphones to that and play the itunes on the phone, nothing at all plays"
That's because Nokia is the only manufacture I know that sends all audio to a BT headset.
Anyone ever notice that with Nokia BT phones, whatever ringer you have assigned, you hear through BT when a call comes in. On a Moto, SE Samsung etc, all you hear when a call comes in is ...
Rich:
I had a customer come into my store with a a1200.
How much does the maxx resemble the a12?
Re: A2DP Compatible
The 6682 is not A2DP, but will send music or movies to the headset(both ears, low quality). It is not high quality stereo, but you can listen that way.
Re: U.S. Version Status
Excellent news as far as I'm concerned.
Sounds like a lock to be available soon.
Most likely will drive down the secondary market also.
Re: Status
Correct 99.
I will buy it either way.
Re: U.S. Version Status
Flint Michigan is 850 only, no 1900. It is only a small part of our coverage area(30sq miles?), but I'm sure there are others like it around the country.
I still plan on getting one, even if it is WCDMA1900, there are enough of those towers.
Re: Greatest Phone Ever???
Our Nokia rep was in the store today and she had one with her.
It looks very nice. The shell is plastic, but does not look cheap at all. A very nice fit in the hand, the screen was nice, snappy through the menu. Overall, another great Nokia.
Re: New Cingular 2year contract withTreo650
Sorry, I am one of "those folks" but thought I would respond just the same.
With Cingular, minutes are for talking and data is charged for by the amount you transfer to and fro. As small as 1kb.
There are many data plans available for the treo, starting at 19.99 for 5mb up to 39.99 for unlimited.
Re: Use 6682 to connect to my own WAP
What is a wireless client?
What frequency does it use??
Re: motorola BT headphones
The n80 does have A2DP and AVRCP.
Re: Does it have a stylus?
There is no touch screen on this phone.
Neither.
Re: need replacement "flip cover"
How much will you give me for mine? I took it off after 2 days.
Re: Hmm. . .
I know Blackberries are not true pda's , but the 8700 was announced with 3G.
Re: Music Tones...
Ringo Pro will give you the ability to use mp3's as ringers. You have to store the mp3's on your sd card.
Works great.
There are plenty of Windows based pda phones out there. I'm not dying for a treo version.
Re: Treo 650 or Nokia 6682
Depends, if you need/like a touch screen or a full keyboard, it the treo, if not I would choose the 6682.
I have both, I am not email or text heavy so that is why the 6682 is a better fit for me.
Re: motorola BT headphones
If you are asking about the Moto ht820, they will play music to the headphones in both ears.
It is not stereo or high quality. It the same as listening to music with a single ear bluetooth headset.
The 6682 does not have the A2DP(advanced audio distribution profile) bluetooth profile needed to transmit quality stereo.
Itech makes a BT stereo headset that is supposed to work with the 6682. You have to use their Blue MSI player. I have not tried ...
Re: How much memory?
It's not even rs, it's a full size MMC.
I didn't see
A2DP or AVRCP listed in the Bluetooth profiles.
Does anyone know for sure if it does/not have them?
Those profiles and 3G would make it the perfect phone.
I have the Moto ht820, use the with the ipaq 6515 and they sound awesome.
Also, the e70 is as large as the n90.
I still lust for an n80 tuned to US 3G
Re: Dial Up Networking. Help before I go CRAZY!!!
WAP@CINGULARGPRS.COM is supposed to be all caps, same for ISP.
WAP should work for your plan, ISP if you had a data plan. The isp provisioning is more robust and has faster transfer speeds, but you only get those codes with data plan provisioning.
Cingular does not allow teathering on MediaNet plans. You use tons more data on a laptop surfing than on a cell, it is easy to detect.
Re: How much memory?
As long as it is a dual voltage rsmmc or mmc mobile it will work.
Do you have a link to the site where you saw 2gb available. I did not know there was a 2gb dv rsmmc out there.
Thanks
Re: Stereo Bluetooth Headphones....
Brian: So are you able to listen to quality stereo music and switch to incoming calls smoothly? If so that would be awesome.
Is the mic in the clip?
Re: how do you copy a file sent via bluetooth to memory card?
If you are sending files to the phone via bluetooth, the arrive in the message inbox. When you view them, choose options, then save. It should them ask where, phone or card.
Also, if you go to flie manager, view phone image folder and highlight the pic/file you want to move, choose options and then either move and you will be asked phone or memory card.
The phone will always store the file in the appropriate folder, your only choice is ...
