If you are sending files to the phone via bluetooth, the arrive in the message inbox. When you view them, choose options, then save. It should them ask where, phone or card.
Also, if you go to flie manager, view phone image folder and highlight the pic/file you want to move, choose options and then either move and you will be asked phone or memory card.
The phone will always store the file in the appropriate folder, your only choice is phone or card.

only problem is ... the file i sent over is a PDF that's roughly 3MB. so when i try and open/view the file i get the "not enough memory" message which prevents me from doing what you suggested above. any other ideas or recommendations?

I had a similar problem/error message with a large mp3 file. It ended up being an issue with the file name/description. I had to rename it with a shorter title, and then it worked fine. Good Luck
