Use 6682 to connect to my own WAP

Can I use 6682 as a wireless client? I would like to connect my desktop computer to my wireless access point (54Mbps 802.11G) that is connected to my Tivo.

My desktop has no 802.11 client to talk over wireless at this point. I know I can pick up a $30 USB, but maybe this phone can do it for me.

Your input is much appreciated.

Thanks

I want my phone to connect my desktop to my Tivo (Tivo is connected to a dedicated WAP)

I want my phone to be a 802.11B or G client which is 2.4Ghz. This phone can connect to Cingular WAPs, so why not my own.

Thanks

The problem is twofold: the phone doesn't have wifi, and your wireless network isn't GSM, it's that simple. The phone can only be configured to recognize a GSM network, and your computer & tivo equipment can neither create nor simulate one.
