HP iPAQ hw6510 / hw6515

Hi,
Can anyone suggest GPS software for my 6515 that has New Zealand maps? Something with similar functionality to TomTom would be great. Or if someone knows how I can get a NZ map onto TomTom. I wish TomTom would come out with NZ map!!

i have got the above named ipaq, trying to use my jabra bt620s bleutooth stereo headset. ive checked elsewere, and everywhere it says the protocol (a2dp) is supported however when i use it nothing works.

jabra says im supposed to activate it? where and how do i do this?

What SD or mini-SD Wi-Fi cards are you guys using? Where did you get it/them from?

I was wanting to see if anyone has had problems with this phone just turning itself off. It will just power off and I have to remove the battery to restart it, which takes forever. At first, I thought that the battery compartment cover was just coming loose but, I have sat there and had the phone on a table and watched it turn off. Is there any kind of software upgrade that fixes this? Thanks

Has anybody travelled between the two continents to see if the GPS application works? I am about to be travelling for work and will be in the EU for fashion week, and driving around from show to show on a tight schedule as one would imagine is tough.

I know Microsoft Pocket Streets has some EU maps, so in THEORY it is possible from the software-side, but what about realtime?

Can this phone be unlocked to work with other services other than Cingular? My job takes me to places that Cingular service is less than exelent but would like an ipac compared to treo.

Does the 6515 (Cingular) have built in WiFi or do you need to buy an external card?

If I don't buy the "data package" and browes via WiFi, will Cingular count that type of browsing as KBs and charge me?

Is there a way to disable browsing through the Cingualar network?

I just got a BB 8700 (Cingular) and I am really wanting three more things that BB doesn't offer. In order: Voicedialing through bluetooth, the ability to stream and play 30-60 sec. quicktime movies (and ideally listen to in stereo) GPS (built in) and a decent camera. I would also like really good wifi/internet browsing.

My main use is business travel so if I had to go on I diet and stay with BB I would only because of the most important stuff:

1 - LOUD and great phone quality
2 - push (or very fast) email
3 - sync with my Ibook MAC

I do like the one hand use of BB. It doesnt have many of the bells, but does emailing well, great phone and navigation. What's missing most for me is the bluetooth voicecontrol. I call on many cont...

Hi, Although I am very computer-literate with PCs and Windows, I have no clue what this phone is capable of. I am thinking of purchasing one, but what type of applications can it handle? Can it hold Microsoft Word for typing documents, or can any other Windows software be loaded onto it? And if so, what are it's limitations on size of software that can be loaded onto it?

How do i set ringtones specifically for different contacts, all I can find is setting one ringtone for every call under settings>phone>ring tone. Is there any way to do this? Any help is appreciated.

Any recommendations on blue-tooth headsets for the iPaq? Been shopping around and read a lot of complaints of certain headsets not working with the treo650 and wondered if iPaqs had similar issues....

I don't own the 6510/6515 but am planning on the 6940 when it comes out.

is it true that u cant use mp3 for ringtones and if so can u atleast hear ur mp3s without the head set ????

I have the HP6515 for a few days now 🙂 so far so good. I am trying to get the GPS navigation system to work. I am using the HP navigation software. So far I am not able to locate the GPS signal, so GPS won;t work. I have GPS device on COM7.
What else do I need to do, to get GPS to work?

1. I have just purchased an iPAQ 6515 from Cingular and I plan to buy a 2Gb miniSD card.
Please let me know if it is compatible with the PDA because I don’t want to end up with an expensive and useless toy.

2. I tried to use a 2 Gb SD card and it seems that it doesn’t "see" it.
The card works in other devices.
I did soft and hard resets to no avail.
When I insert the SD card it says that it needs to be formatted to make it readable.I hit OK and then says that the formatting was successful but still I can not see the card.
Then I formatted the card on a PC but the problem persists. Don't know what else to try.
I don't want to end up returnig it because I like it.
